I had the pleasure the other day of walking down a busy street and seeing an elegant woman (wait for it) floss her teeth with one of those flosser thingymajigs you can buy at the drugstore. Ummm, really, lady? Grody. It made me wonder, what could be grosser? And then I remembered the spine-tingling sound of someone clipping his nails on public transportation. So what will it be . . . what's tackier?

Yesterday at work, a co-worker let a customer borrow scissors from the photo lab, and when I walked out of the office I saw her clipping her toenails with the scissors!! I was pissed and grossed out at the same time. I kind of need those scissors to cut the negatives off the leader cards, people!
theyre both really gross and ive never done either LOL but i can imagine that food getting stuck in your teeth is really annoying and the need for it to get out is imperative.. however how bad can ur nails be that u cant wait a few minutes to get home to clip?
Well, I've been guilty of trimming a few nails on the train. I broke them putting my luggage in the holder, and the prospect of them bothering me for the next 5 and a half hours was enough to overcome my sense of faux pas.
I think it depends.... flossing beats out finger-nail clipping (sometimes there's just one rough/pointy spot that you just need to get off before it drives you insane)... but toe-nail clipping?? that's just disgusting on oh, so many levels.
Seeing someone do a quick floss is one thing - I'm fine with it, especially if they have braces, then they have to get what's irritating them out of there. But the public clipping is a big NO NO. Do that type of grooming at home.
This one was very hard. Both gross. Ugh.
I voted for flossing but I have to agree that it's more bothersome to have things in your teeth and people can definitely wait to cut their nails. The pictures kind of make it easier to want to vote for the floss though.
yuck flossing
I think both are equally offensive. If I need to do either while away from home, I try to find a public bathroom, or do the deeds in my car, provided there are no people within viewing distance. That being said, Girlfriend needs some White Strips!

Whoops! Sorry about the double post!
well considering that I carry cuticle clippers practically everywhere I go, I'd have to say the flossing
who really cares about either one. I have to say the picture on the left of flossing is pretty gross looking.
Eww that flossing pic is nasty. Does that person even brush their teeth!? They're Y-E-L-L-O-W! Nasty.
sometimes you just gotta floss.
Oh come on! Really? Flossing needs to be done. Clipping your nails is normal. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing either of those in public. Clipping toenails on the other hand... keep that for home.
I vote neither are tacky... they're only tacky if you're horrendously sensitive or easily grossed out.
ugh! both
with those teeth...barf!!! It think she is tackier. haha
LOL @ KathleenxCouture...
I agree with you!
Those dark yellow teeth are nasty!
