In an effort to educate people about how bad ocean pollution has gotten, Surfrider Foundation asked Saatchi & Saatchi to come up with a guerrilla ad. In their "Catch of the Day" campaign, real trash was collected from various American beaches, packaged to look like seafood, and then placed at farmers’ markets. (The condom collection above was found at Newport Beach, CA.) Click here to see more disgusting beach detritus.

Disgusting. Yet, effective campaign?
Saatchi ads are awesome.
Saatchi & Saatchi does some highly effective and provocative advertising. This is powerful, IMNSHO, and it's got you talking about it. Therefore, gross or not, it's doing it's job and getting the point across. My hat's off to them. Always.
what about those lovely styrofoam trays they are using, are those good for the ocean?
I can't even talk about how nasty that is!
Gross but like it was already stated, effective.
Sometimes you have to get people's attention and this sure does!
This is one reason I hate going to the beach. CA beaches are na-hasty.
Ugh, that is just gross but definitely effective.
