Some people are born daters — they feel totally comfortable in the awkward getting-to-know-you phase and they love the thrill of the unknown. I'm the complete opposite: Dating makes me incredibly uncomfortable, which is why I'd much prefer to go out than stay in. When you're at a restaurant or a bar, you have so many things to stimulate conversation or diffuse a bad date if necessary. It's not until I really like someone that I'd be open to hanging out at home and really letting my guard down. Of course no one date is better than the other, so do tell: Are you more comfortable going out or staying in when it comes to the wonderful world of dating?

I actually like going out and meeting new people! The only dates that I hate are blind dates! I think it's the worst when someone else sets you on a date with someone THEY think is great for you, and when you actually go out with them, you can't believe how wrong they are. LOL! But I always try to be nice anyway!
1I much prefer going out to bars and so on when it's still considered 'dating' - staying in comes later.
2Dating to me = going out. I panic if I am alone in a house with a new guy.
3haha, going out for sure, it'd be awkward to be at someone's house. Its much better to be at a restaurant or a show or something that gives you a commonground to talk about.
4Going out. I find hanging out at home too awkward with a date.
5Always go out on a first date. Staying at home is too much pressure to do something you might regret.
6Going out for a first date, definitely. No staying in 'til you get to know him. You never know if he's a real weirdo or not.
7When still 'dating', I want to go out. Dinner or a movie or even an afternoon walk somewhere. I just don't want to do the hang out thing because that's not what I consider a date. The hang out thing, at least in my experience, is usually with the hope on the guy's side that it will lead to something. I don't want to spend my whole 'date' nervous about keeping that at a distance until I'm ready for it.
8Definitely go out!
9I like going out when I've just met the guy but when we're more comfortable with each other I'd rather stay in and enjoy each other.
10On the first few dates, going out is always a nice tension breaker. But after getting to know the person, quiet dates are nice, too! Mixing it up with a little bit of both is ideal.
11Going out definately! I wouldn't feel comfortable in a new guys home, or with him in mine.
12I love going on dates
And maybe that's because when I go out with my boyfriend, to
anywhere (movies, restaurants, museum, etc.) we consider it a date. On the first couple "dates" we had, neither of us wanted to really stay in. Once we got closer and everything, we love just
having time to ourselves to cuddle up with a good movie.
13I wouldn't think a date would be an invitation to a home. What is that anyway, an excuse for sex or a cheap way to entertain? No thanks. Going out is more fun.
14One time a guy invited me to his house for a drink first then dinner was out later on. I thought it was kinda strange. I think he wanted to show off his house. He had one hell of a house, but I wasn't impressed, that much.
