I was eating lunch today and had CNN Headline news on, and they did this little segment about a high school's valedictorian getting deported because he was an illegal alien. The segment then taped about 4-5 high school kids (all around 15, mind you) who said he shouldn't be deported because he's smart and the people who want to deport him "suck" And that was the end of the segment.
Um, how about some actual information like how or why he came here illegally? what are his parents' status? why is he facing deportation? where is he from? when will he be leaving? etc. etc.
(sorry the malkin story reminded me of it, and I felt it was pertinent as we were earlier talking about how bad the tv news is these days)
1not surprised in the least that they were hiding the real findings about climate change. thanks bush administration!! now we all get to burn in a living hell on earth TOGETHER - not just the deranged idiots in the white house who can't seem to see past their own generation when they make decisions like this one.
2I don't have a problem with the field trip and the article says the kids were sending out press releases about not judging people - I'm not sure that translate into pro-illegal immigration.
3A google check of unexploded WWII bombs brought up five similar stories just this year, in England, Germany and Japan.
And shouldn't administration scientists who withhold data be punished? Or do we pay them to lie to us? If we pay them to lie, I want a job with them, cuz I could make up some great stuff!
Hmmmm, They downplayed the effects of GW, and yet those proposed effects actually aren't happening. I'm thinking it was a good idea not to play into the hype.
