Intersting. When I slept with the phone next to me it was because I was afraid I might need to make an emergency call in the middle of the night because of my x, it had nothing to do with who
might need to get in touch with me, rather who I might need to get in touch with.
I would never do this unless there might be some sort of emergency or a serious need for someone to get a hold of me. I usually turn my cell phone off when I sleep and I don't really answer
my home phone either if I'm in bed. I figure if it's important, they'll leave a message.

3I do this because my phone doubles as my alarm clock.
4I have to do that when my boyfriend comes over after class or he won't be able to get into my building/room.
5I hate being awoken to the phone so I turn my phone off at night. It's so annoying when people call to early in the morning.
6my phone is my alarm clock so yes it's right next to me every night, and sometimes my friends call me for something so yeah
7I always have mine near me, force of habit.
