With reality television stars and celebutantes making up the new-school Hollywood elite, sometimes it seems like just about anyone can relish in some fame — at least for a little while. In fact, Living Lohan with Dina and her youngest daughter Ali, which follows Ali's attempts to achieve stardom, premieres this weekend on E!.
I can’t say the glamorous Hollywood lifestyle doesn’t sound intriguing, but I don’t think I’d want to follow in Lindsay Lohan's footsteps, big sister or not. Like so many young starlets, she's more known for her debauchery than her talent these days, and we all know that the scrutiny can take its toll. Sure, making millions for doing just about nothing sounds great, but with all these hot messes traipsing around, would you even want to be famous if you could?

Hahaha I know it sounds cheesy but I would love to be a celeb! Havign so much money, going on exotic vacations, havign time to eat right and work out!
1yes, for the pay........
2I'd like to be famous, but only in certain situations. I wouldn't want to be a reality tv star, thats just embarrassing. I would love to be famous for making an amazing discovery or being an entrepreneur.
3no thanks. I live a nice, happy, private life and I'd like to keep it that way. Plus in this day and age you needlessly draw all your family and friend into the limelight with you and they get exploited for your selfish decision to be famous. Also, have you seen how "celebs" are treated on celebrity sites like Pop? Perez? etc.
4I would like it now that I am an adult and know exactly who I am. I wouldn't want fame before the age of 21, though. Too much pressure. Look at people like Marcia Cross or Sarah Jessica Parker...people that hit the peak of their fame at a slightly older age. They handle it with grace and class.
5just for the money. and the perks. and the vacations.
i hate that 'rich' people get all the free stuff. i guess thats how they're rich *shrug*
6I would love the lifestyle (the money, vacations, etc etc), but there are just so many pitfalls. It seems like alot of celebs get sucked into a vapid world and they can't find their way out. Like they lost touch with real life! Half of them seem like pod people.
7I would like to be famous for the right reasons! Talent, not because of party/drug habits! There's plenty of celebs out there who are very talented and famous and keep their compusure and private lives, well, private! So I think it can be done right...
8f*ck Yeah I would! And I plan on it too. I just need to finish writing my book.
9You know, I would LOVE the money and the perks, but would HATE having my life be an open book and having the paps take pictures of me at really inconvenient or private moments...
10quick question - does ali lohan have some sort of disease that makes her age at a rapid rate, like that movie jack?
11she's friggin 14! she's in eigth grade! she looks like her mother's SISTER! and that's not a compliment to her mother, either!!
Hell yeah, where do I sign up??
12For the cash, sure. Paps, not so much.
13
to be able to not to worry about putting food on the table, clothing the kids,
paying things, making sure my family is set, yea i'd do it. but i'd want my family to make sure i would stay grounded and and get a swelled head.
14Heck yes, just for the pay. And the tons of free stuff they get. I'd never turn that down.
15As far as the attention goes, NO WAY. I hate being the center of attention and I am wayyyy to private of a person to be able to cope with fame.
But I would surely love the money!
16Would I mind becoming a celebrity on my own merits? Sure. Would I want to claw my way to fame by selling out family members as well as my self-respect (like appropriately picture Dina & Ali Lohan)? NO WAY!
17no. i would not be a good famous person. i like my privacy, don't want people to know my business, don't sugar coat what i think, worry about freaks knowing anything about my children.
18No way — It's not worth the toll it takes.
19I'd like to be one of those people whose name you know for whatever it is I'm doing, but whose life isn't chornicled by the papparazzi. That would be the perfect balance.
20I would like to be famous for winning a nobel in medicine....Attention but no paparazzi plus it pays about a million bucks ... not bad money at all!!
21It depends on the money. I'd do it for a few years, get rich, and retire and never be heard from again. That sounds great.
22No, I keep a lot of things private and I would just die if the whole world talked about every stupid fight I had with husband or how I look without makeup. You couldn't pay me enough to be famous.
23I wouldn't want to be a celebrity, per se... a celebrated academic in my field - absolutely! The sort of semi-celebrity that allows for privacy and a normal life.
24You could not pay me enough. Especially now that I have a child, there is no way I would put her through it. I would imagine it would be pretty frightening for a child to have 100 camera's in his or her face.
IF for whatever reason, I did end up famous, there is no way in hell I would live in Hollywood. I would pull a Julia Roberts and have a ranch in the middle of nowhere.
25I'd want to be famous for the perks and money that come along with it.
26Definitely wouldn't want the hassle of being harassed by the paps and the rest of the media.
I would never ever want to be famous. Rich, yes but not famous. I'm way too private of a person for that. I like walking down the street and having no one who give a damn who I am.
27I would love to be a successful writer or designer, and would not be terribly upset if it lead to mild fame. I would hate to be very famous though.
