That minimum wage blog is just crap. So they'll hire 10 kids instead of 15 - the point is, the money they earn might actually be enough to help them buy school books and supplies as opposed to stretching the old minimum over a larger group. Giving 20 kids a nickel isn't the same as giving one kid a dollar.
stephley: you are so right. that's the biggest load of garbage ive seen in a long time. that woman is only worried about keeping her own job.
I am so glad the republican party is there to expose the unrestrained greed of those making $6.50 an hour! It's about time someone stood up to those parasites!
Interesting about the long primary battle. It actually gives me hope.
As usual, the point is completely missed on this issue. The lady lamenting is part of a government training program. Since they are required to pay an increased minimum wage, but the funding for their program didn't go up accordingly, they have to turn away people. Everyone they turn away is another person who falls through the cracks. Thank you Democratic Congress.
Duh, we got that! Giving 20 kids a nickel isn't the same as giving one kid a dollar.
