Cats must have gotten the memo that — except among a subset of folks called (unfairly, if you asked me) "crazy cat ladies" — they've got a pretty bad reputation. It seems that some of the feline persuasion are doing damage control. Kitty PR, if you will. They're sending out cat ambassadors who do things like follow instructions, enjoy water, and fetch. Good job, guys! (I secretly prefer the inscrutable, lazy and indifferent versions but that's why I'm a CCL.)

awww one of my mom's cats does this!
1he is so funny...quite the character too!
My cat does also, here's a quick video I made. She can really get into it sometimes she does a leaping catch like a baseball outfielder dives to catch a line drive.

2So does my cat! But he walks back instead of running...
3My kitten plays fetch too! But she's starting to get smart and realize that if she looks at me and meows I will get up and get it for her, so she's not bringing it back anymore!
4My previous Persian Emma used to do this, too, but with one of those foamy-rubbery little balls. I'd toss it down our long staircase and she would run it back up to me, and place it in my hand. I tired out from tossing before she did!
5Jumping on the train here..my cat does this too. His is with a stuffed mouse.
6It sounds like we all have, or have had, very talented pussies!
7My cat used to play fetch when she was a kitten. As she got older, she stopped though.
