Before you're "boyfriend and girlfriend," it's perfectly acceptable to date other people [1]. But even if you really like someone, it's not uncommon to go through the motions with someone else who you don't fancy all that much — you know, just in case! I like to call that backup plan a "cushion date." While I understand the urge to avert loneliness, some would say dating someone you're clearly not interested in is wrong, so ladies, where do you stand on this subject?
