I've been to a handful of bachelorette parties, some relaxing and some wild and crazy, but my favorite one had a little bit of both. Picking the location of your bachelorette party takes a lot of consideration, especially when factoring in a bunch of different women's preferences. If I were to plan my own, it'd be someplace warm so we could be poolside by day, but also someplace fun so we could be painting the town red by night. While I think that's a pretty common criteria for a bachelorette party, some women vote for a weekend getaway in the snow or opt to rent a house somewhere discrete and have a very mellow retreat. So tell me ladies, even if you aren't currently engaged or married, what kind of bachelorette party do you want? Do you want to relax or go all out?

I want a combined bachelor/bachelorette party, something low-key, like a backyard barbecue.
1None.
2i want a night out in the city- a nice dinner, drinks and then dancing!
3i want one that is combined bachelor/bachelorette, but i want it to be fun and wild for both of us.
4Well, I've already had mine - 3-yr wedding anniversary coming up next month - but I really liked mine. It was a combo of naughty and nice, which was great. We met around noon to go shopping in a fairly popular hipster-y area - lots of cool boutiques and restaurants and vintage clothing and antique stores. We wandered around and did some shopping, got an ice cream cone, had fun. Then we went to a fancy old hotel and had a fabulous afternoon tea. Afterwards, we went back to our own hotel (not the fancy old one because we wanted one in walking distance to the bar district!) and I was the victim of a surprise sex toy party. And then my bridesmaid who had organized everything split us into teams and gave us a list for a scavenger hunt - a scavenger hunt for men
We each got a cheap address book with pages A-Z, and our lists were
organized A-Z based on me and my husband to some extent (and just fun for the rest) - things like, D was a guy named David, E was a guy who was an English major...T was a guy carrying a
Trojan in his wallet. We hit the bars together, chatted up random guys and got their signatures on the pages of the address books for the items the corresponded to. It was just a wonderful
day, fun all the way through.
5scorpstar77, I couldn't have made-up a better bachelorette party idea. That all seems really fun!
6scorpstar, that sounds like fun
One of my friends is getting married in June and her bachelorette party is just a two days before. I definitely want mine to be well before the wedding b/c you know it might take a while for the hangover to wear off (if there is drinking involved). I don't want mine to be too crazy though. I like the idea of a low-key one without too much drinking or partying ... oh and no strippers.. don't like that.
Anyways, for my friend's bach party we are going to go eat and the MOH (who's organizing it) talked about possibly going to strip dancing classes (like S factor) or something like that. Don't know for sure yet though lol I guess I'll just have to see what she winds up planning.
7scorpstar that sounds amazingly funn!!!!!
8I didn't want one, and didn't have one. Scorpstar's party sounds pretty fun, though.
9I'm not too sure but something fun fun fun!
10None. Not my cup of tea.
11I think a unique event would be great. I'm not really into the "let's get raunchy" idea of bachleorette parties. Scorpstar77's afternoon tea sounds great. I'm dropping hints with my mom now so that she can steer my MOH in the right direction.
12honestly, i dont think that a rando naked guy flapping his penis in my face is my idea of a good time. i don't want any strippers (i dun care if they are wearing the lil undies where its an elephant and its nose is..well... you know.
i want to go out, drink alot, and have people BUY me drinks because i'm the bride.
heck... i would do something like--go bowling... as long as i was with my friends and we had fun.
plus...i was already 'wild and crazy' for a while--i dont feel the need to have 'one more adventure' before i get married...
13Sadly, I missed ScorpStar's bachelorette party (she's my sister in law), but I'm hoping mine will be fun.
I'm thinking dinner out, then off to a comedy club for some laughs and drinks (theknot.com gave me that idea), followed by more drinks at the local wine bar or something like that.
14No strippers though because I think they're a bit tacky and my brother is my MOH. Talk about awkward.
Night out on the city with my girls and mom and sister of course!
15It would be a blast!
Hmmm, I haven't really given this much thought but it's certainly fun to think about!
I think I'd want a relaxing bachelorette party...I'd rather have a day at the spa and get massaged all day than go out and get drunk only to have a bad hangover the next day. It might be fun to have a joint party as well like later that night or something... I'm so in the summer bbq mood right now. Back yard bbq and swimming with all our friends and lots of drinks and good food!
16I just want a fun and relaxing day. No penis straws or wearing T-shirts that random guys have to sign. Just me and the girls hanging out and possibly eating lots of chocolate.
17I'm going to AZ for mine. It will be warm and we can relax/shop/eat during the day and go out at night.
No strippers, no male genitalia, no party games.
18I've been to several bachelorette parties in the past and it seems that my friends want something relaxing, fun, and want to enjoy each other's company. In such a lovely mixture, I believe that having a bachelorette party at Sheila Kelley's S Factor would best. Sheila Kelley's S Factor is a wonderful movement that keeps you in touch with your mind, body, and soul. Not only will having a bachelorette party at S Factor keep you relaxed, but you'll also have fun, dance, learn an awesome pole trick, and enjoy the company of your friends ...
19I am not sure how mine will end up (got a wild and crazy bridal party) But I would like to go shopping at a ritzy mall, Go to a pole dancing class, Go get a message somewhere, and then hit the bars! Fun times by all!
20No clue but I'm going to one coming up soon that is at a winery.
21My girlfriends and I are going to Sonoma for a weekend for mine!!! I am so excited!!! We rented a house and we are just going to enjoy each other and drink lots of wine!
22My girlfriends and I are going to MIAMI next month for her bachelorette party! What better place to celebrate with the girls than South beach?
23Sushi that sounds like fun but I want it to end w/ a crazy party that last all night long w/ everyone crashing where they land! (Also for it to be co-ed because I love my ladies but I love my guys who are my relationship talking to folks)
24I want strippers!!!! And am not afraid to admit it. Why does it have to be all cheesy shopping and girl bonding? I just want to party! That is the whole point of it.
25Mine was wild and crazy with drinks, food and stripper (it was my best friends idea) and then to a party and dancing all night long....It was sooo fun!
