The Bush Administration would do away with all public safety regulations if it could - look how long it took to discover that the airlines weren't doing required inspections on older planes.

Actually the Administration has a "no cows left behind" plan that will ensure that cows are tested regularly.

And if the cows flunk the essay part of the test, their state gets cut out of the farm bill.

After I saw the "low quality" cow being electrocuted in order to be processed, I have only had beef twice. I just don't have a taste for it anymore...and I come from a beef state where we LOVE our steak. Just can't do it anymore. I don't trust the regulations that are supposed to keep us safe, and I also don't like the environmental consequences of massive beef farms.

What are the odds?

I'll take my chances with the Beef Industry.

Oooh, if you ate a mad cow, you would be pretty mad yourself, until your brain melts and oozes out your ears until it explodes. Just test the beef, for goodness sake.
I guess it's a Texas thing. Cattlemen and Oilmen don't wanna follow any rules, especially if the rules cut into their profits.
