Freedom of speech exists for a reason...and you can at least spell things properly if you're going to do something like that. Oh, and America is not the name of a country. The term America
refers to multiple countries, some of which are Spanish speaking.
Yeah, when I was living abroad it was a pet peeve of mine when my compatriots called it "America," referring to back home. Really, is 'The US,' so hard to say?
I wonder how the term came to be. . . an effect of Manifest Destiny? We're coast to coast but psychologically we want to think we're the entire continent? Or two. . .? LOL!
Thank you ladies...I feel the same way about the "America" term is used improperly by people, and honestly I don't why people make a big deal about having and official language, this is a
country based on principals of freedom, and people from various cultures. I also love the poster in the back that reads Texas is not a colony....please know your history Texas.
So sad... I agree with ya'll and if them Texans don't like dem Mexicans, maybe they should move... hee hee. JK... I think it's funny when people get all up in arms about this stuff, all
though I must admit, that sometimes it must be frustrating for people who only speak English to have to deal with immigrants who don't speak anything but their native language... I'm Mexican
(or at least half) and I think everyone should make a small effort to understand each other and accommodate each other.. by that I mean immigrants need to make an effort and the rest need to
be a tad bit more tolerant
ok that's my two cents for now... Ya'll have your selves a great day!! (I went to HS in TX)
