If you're like me, you're highly anticipating that rebate check! Even though I'm not scheduled to get mine until May 9, I know exactly what I'm going to do with it.
I've always considered tax refunds as free money, and back in my less responsible days, I'd use it to buy something I had my eye on, but this year I'm not even letting that money get comfortable in my bank account — it's going straight to my bills. So what about you? What do you plan on doing with your rebate? Do you consider it free money to do something special with or are you taking the mature route and using that money more sensibly?

I'm glad that their sending out these checks. Even though its gonna sit in my savings account for rainy days. I prepared my bills for the next 4 months. Sucks. Especially living in Miami,
1I'm not getting a lot, but what I do get I'll be saving.
2I'm saving mine for a cruise that I'm going on in November this year. I have to pay for half of it my boyfriend will be paying the rest.
3well this is the first year i dont have debt. so its there but i feel a little more liberal with my spending
4I was supposed to get mine May 2nd but haven't yet...
5Mine will go into my Roth IRA. I already have enough money from my salary and if I didn't put it away somewhere I would just spend it on clothes which I definitely don't need.
6Pay rent.
7I think me and my SO are getting a pair of Pleo's:)
8Investing.
9me too, greentea! do you have any idea why?
10I have been wondering the same thing. My BF was supposed to get his on the 2nd also and hasn't. I know a couple of people who haven't. Weird. I'm scheduled for the 9th.........hope it comes. I need it.
11credit card bill
12I have no idea why! I keep checking my account every day since and with no luck
I've found out
that a lot of people are experiencing the same thing but haven't received an answer. I already got my tax refund direct deposited quite awhile back...
13I will be playing catch up with a few bills that are behind, and hopefully get to treat myself to something nice.
14credit card bills need to go down for my sanity's sake.
15No rebate check for me. Oh well.
16half for bills and half for my spa weekend getaway!
17No check for me ... and it's too bad b/c I need some money right about now.
18We just received ours today. (Yay!)
The ducklings need a bunk-bed and a dresser/bureau. The remaining funds will be deposited into savings, and used to help off-set the cost of daily needs (food, gas and the like) for the next couple months.
19I'm going to pay off all my bills for the rest of this month so I will have one stress-free month. Not having to worry about what bills to pay with which check and which bill is more important to pay first, sounds great to me!
20It still sounds too good to be true. The government always tries to nickle and dime us. Now they're giving us money??? I'm thinking we will be paying for this next year somehow...
Either that or I won't get the money when I should.
I'm putting mine toward the laptop I paid for by credit card earlier this year. The trouble with being a grad student/artist: you need a new Macbook every few years, but sure as heck can't afford one!!!
21My hubby and I plan on using most of it for our vacation this year and the rest will go in the bank.
22TV
23Umm saving some and buying something purty, my man makes to much to get one so I try not to bring it up around him oh well.
24i think the government sending out these checks is ridiculous, but i'll be using mine towards bills. Yay responsible me!
25savings account
26We are putting in a fence and a patio this summer. That money will buy all the pavers for us!
27Just got mine today. I may think these rebates are a terrible idea, but I'm happy to have mine anyway. Will be using it for the usual expenses (rent, utilities, groceries, etc).
28Hmm not sure if i'm getting one yet. How do i check? If i'm lucky enough to get one, i think i'll be saving it! I need it because i might move soon TO A DIFFERENT STATE!
Def need the money hehe

Go to www.irs.gov and check the payment schedule to where your SSN falls then go to "where is my stimulus payment".
