I don't know about you, but I'm not a fan of the twin look. I understand that men and women can easily dress alike by mistake — jeans and a t-shirt are pretty androgynous, but even then it's a bit much. So despite the fact that George Clooney and Sarah Larson look equally good sporting matching leather jackets, tell me ladies, is dressing like your significant other a do or a don't?

its a dooooooooooooooo
1but honestly 95% of the time we dont plan it
me and my boyfriend have matching pj bottoms, but anything more than that is just... TACKY
I've seen like head-to-toe matching couples and it makes me laugh. The guy looks totally whipped!
And girly!
2I think it's pretty cheesy but my boyfriend and I have shown up at each other's apts wearing the same color and such. It's pretty funny.
3Sometimes my husband tries to match me if I have gotten dressed first. I never do it. Now my 8 year old daughter will try to look like me to. She changed her outfit yesterday to look like me.
4Um...my hubby and I have a few matching hoodies, but we usually don't wear them on the same day. We both wear our Chucks fairly often though (mine are pink, his are black) and sometimes get teased by our friends. That happened this past Saturday evening, in fact. I think it's kind of cute though and I don't really care what people think.
5omg, my parents use to do this and it drove me nuts! twinsey is a no-no for adults. if it's a formal and then coordinated, NOT identical. the whole matchy-matchy "candid" thing is what finally drove me into the anti-tomkate camp. all those fake candids of the 3 of them in coordinated and or matching plaids, etc. AHHHHHHHHH!
6Complementing styles are good, full matching is bad.
7leather jackets look like garbage bags.
8so corny! a few weeks ago my friend came into class dressed exactly like her boyfriend because it was his birthday. to me it just seemed kind of stalkerish lol
9I'm one for dressing my own stylish way. However, I find my metro husband trying to match colors with me all the time. Lol. Once I told him I like wearing patterns and he frowned asking me how he would be able to match me. I just laughed.
10Every once and a while my husband and I dress alike- jeans and a t-shirt style. We're cute, so it works.
11I think matching is a big no no. It's rather quite foolish if you ask me. I think complementing each other is good, just as long as it is not full head to toe matching.
12Occasionaly my hubby and I will coordinate. Sometimes he will see that I'm wearing a red and black print dress and he'll wear a red shirt or some such.
Usually we just dress in what we feel best in.
13Too matchy, matchy is a big DON'T. But if you and your partner have the same style, then it matches, but it's not the same.
14If it's a planned look, then a major don't.
However I can see it happening if your both wearing jeans & a black top, that type of thing.
15I usually does what he does. I don't like to be overdressed on certain occassions so if he just wears jeans and a t shirt or hoodie, that's normally what I wear.
16Of course I dress up too. I don't always follow what he's wearing. Normally I do it if it's cold outside or if we're just going out for a drink.
17It can be a DO depending on how it's done. I think George and Sarah did O.K because it's not over the top, it's still cute. If you and your partner are matching from head to toe, that can be to much.
18We totally do it accidentally... though for special occasions, he'll always coordinate his tie/shirt combo to my dress.
19I think it's a don't when you do it intentionally.
20Last week I met my boyfriend for dinner, and we were both wearing jeans, gray sweaters, and white shirts. I was embarrassed and self-conscious.
I'm a big t-shirt and jeans kinda girl and I wear alot of black and so does my boyfriend. So sometime its hard to not look alike.
21We do it all the time, by accident of couse. We take a few of the same classes. Once, we were both wearing a 'Poison' Sweatshirt we got at the their concert last summer and we just look at each other and play wii to see who gets to wear it. It's so ComfY!
22It's not like they're wearing the same color t shirt. I think it's cute when couples dress to compliment each other. Perhaps not wearing exactly the same outfit as one another, but dressing in the same colour family or with the same theme. I find my beau and I dress similarly rather often without even trying. Though once, we did really cute. It was rather sickeningly cute.
23just in one piece like the leather jacket but not to be a twin fashion wear. but i really do like their style it's so cool.
24I like the matching jammies thing (: I don't know about matching outfits.. that's kinda weird, but if it's unplanned, it's cute
25Yeah, GibsonGirl, I agree. Complements are nice, I don't know about the same attire.
