So Belvedere vodka's new campaign suggests that they're redefining luxury ("Luxury Reborn"). So how do they do that? By getting Terry Richardson to photograph an ad that shows a woman reapplying lipstick presumably after giving some dude a blow job. That's an interesting view of luxury. But for whom? Would this ad make you want to buy Belvedere?

UPDATE: Check out some follow-up ads: here. Ugh.

She is ugly.
1I think she might be using his belt buckle as a mirror to apply her lipstick.
2her eyes are lovely
3Let's look at it this way... isn't it usually guys buying ze bottle Vodka? Ladies usually simply buy a drink... we don't need the bottle itself... so I assume this ad is not necessarily targeting ze ladiees.
4This is just tacky.
5misha-su is right. I never thought BJ...i thought belt buckle
6It's Terry Richardson ad. What else would someone expect? Am this is pretty tame for him. For all we know, it actually is meant to imply that she's using his belt buckle as a mirror and I kind of hope it is. because most people would never think that. I can't say that it would make me want Vodka anyway though since I don't care much for alcohol.
7Drink Belvedere vodka and experience the new modern inconvenience of sexually transmitted infections.
Remember, it's Belvedere: Herpes Reborn.
8I agree that she appears to be using the buckle as a mirror, but it's totally ret@rded.
Less luxurious, far more loserish.
9Wow, her reflection in his buckle is freakishly grotesque, which is sort of interesting. . .
10I'm the only tool that voted yes so far, but I really like the ad.
11I saw this ad in a magazine and stopped, trying to figure it out. I don't get it and I definitely dont want that vodka.
12I dont get how that can make you want to buy vodka? Not a very good ad but I like the red lipstick
13this ad is either really tacky, does not make sense, or is not convincing
14It actually looks like she just got caught doing drugs. Not attractive at all...I always kinda laugh at alcohol ads, they try too hard. I buy alcohol by what tastes good, that is all.
15no way
16BJ chic = not good. I mean, can you imagine the reverse, with the genders switched? It would be considered scandalous, but somehow this isn't considered bad. Belvedere won't be gettin' my money, that's for sure.
17I remember this model from modeling for Delia's (in the 90's)! She's come a long way from hawking $40 eyelet dresses.
18This is disgusting. i don't get easily offended, but this is insulting to me as a woman. it definitely seems like it's targeting men, which is confusing because it's featured in women's magazines.
to think that when i first caught a glimpse of her face, i was encouraged by the lack of photo editing.
19. . . . and then i saw the rest of the ad.
ahhhh. it feels so good to finally get that off my chest. it's been bugging me for so long!
20Hm, I can imagine the tagline.
"When its time to get her drunk.....do it CLASSY."
Not to mention you can bet yer arse you would never see them role-reverse the same campaign.
21Or wait..
Maybe he has a lipstick fetish...........
22i think not
