Nearly all of us have cried in the past month, which leads me to believe that we’re a group of women who know the importance of giving into our emotions. However, the act of crying is surely a different thing for all of us. Some of us might like to cry completely alone, only with our sad songs to comfort us, while others may need the warmth of a shoulder to cry on. So when it comes to crying, which do you prefer?

There's nothing like a good cry to clear your head
1I'm usually alone when the tears bust out.

3I never like crying in front of anyone and never do so intentionally... but sometimes, very rarely, I like to cry in front of someone, but only if it is someone I would be okay with holding me.
4I hate crying in front of other people, I would much rather do it alone.
5Alone...I don't usually cry in front of other people.
6If it's something serious, I normally cry with someone I love, my mom, or my husband. They are the only two people who know me best and are allowed to see my vulnerability.
As for things I can't help cry about i.e. sad movies or documentaries, I don't really care who sees me in the theatre. If the movie touches my heart, I don't hide my feelings. I'm quite comfortable with who I am around other people.

9I DO NOT cry in front of anyone!! I might get a little teary eyed in front of close friends or family but I never give a full cry or sob session in front of others
10It definitely depends on what I'm crying about. For example, if I'm stressed about something, I prefer to cry alone. If I'm crying over a death in the family, then I want to have someone there to comfort me.
11I run away from people when I start crying ... because I do the ugly cry and hate having people around when I do that.

13I cry alone now due to my situation. I would love to have someone here to catch my tears right now. Literally, a shoulder to cry on. You have no idea how comforting that is until you don't have it available to you.

19I like to cry alone, it feels weird if anyone comes near me when I do. They can't fully understand what I'm going through so I like to be alone.

My hubby only caught me crying once (was pregnant-hormonal) and he tried to comfort me (hugging, etc), and instead of feeling comforted, I felt awkward and weird.

24I think it's strange to cry in front of people unless your watching a depressing movie or a moving performance. It's really uncomfortable for everyone if you cry in front of people.

26Oh I want to cry alone. I just need the alone time to clear my head with whatever has upset me. I agree with lele though- if it is something major then I just dont care Ill just make a scene or whatever it takes
27I feel pathetic when I cry in front of another person, but I feel lonely when I cry by myself. So, depending on the situation I'll pick crying alone or with company.
28i hate crying in front of people for a couple of reasons. one, i hate looking vulnerable. two, i just look ugly. i'm talking puffy red eyes, red nose, the works. yuck. but it is inevitable for me to cry in front of others because i am a HUGE crybaby.

30I HATE CRYING. It makes me feel like crap. HOWEVER, I have broken down and involuntarily cried in front of my boyfriend and a few friends. If someone had passed away, I wouldn't mind crying in front of people, though I would prefer to be alone. Other than that, I feel it's inexcusable. Of course, I've probably cried a river in front of my boyfriend in the past 1.5 years...

And I don't feel comfortable crying when
people are around watching.
There was especially one time that if I didn't cry in the company of this sweet younger guy, my soul would've been even more devastated.
