Accidents happen, there's no real way to prevent them, but sometimes even though you know something was a mishap, you're still upset and angry. For example, if a friend were to spill red wine on your brand new sofa, of course you'd be flustered, maybe even irate, but what can you do — it was an accident! I've gotten better at accepting the unintentional, but sometimes it's easier said than done. So ladies, tell me, do you tend to get upset over true accidents?

I have a hard time with it, but I'm trying to do better... My husband got in (caused) a bad car accident that ended up costing us thousands of dollars out of pocket, and I was mad about it for awhile, even though it was an accident. I knew it was unfair to be mad, but the more I tried to suppress the more it showed. I need to take a meditation class or something!
I feel like my gut reaction can be annoyance, depending on how big the accident was. I try not to make a fuss about it though since I'm a klutz and have had my share of accidents.
Yeah I get really annoyed but I tend to show it like I'll yell or roll my eyes.
I get way more upset with myself screwing up than anyone else.
Example: My fiance and I went to the grocery the other day and I kept asking him if he had the list before we went. He finally just gave me the list and I ended up leaving it at home. I was so mad at myself!! It's funny now, but what an idiot I was!
Sometimes. It's hard not to feel that way sometimes! But, usually I'll just pretend I'm not upset until I really am not upset anymore. It feels so awful to feel horrible about an accident and then have someone make you feel even worse.
Like gooniette, I get more upset when I'm the one who did something accidentally. Whether it's being clumsy or putting my foot in my mouth, I'm always more mad at myself than I would be at another person who did the same thing.
It is very hard to not be mad, although I am usually the one doing something dumb. Although yesterday the bf took the cake. He announced that HE was going to the store (all by himself! OMG) to get dog food. I asked him if he would pick up some ranch dip as well...no problemo, says he. So yesterday, when he said he went to the store, I asked him if the ranch and low and behold, no he forgot...I was annoyed, but I was more amused that there were only TWO things on the list and he forgot half of them!!
It may be hard to believe but I don't get mad when it's a true accident. Maybe it's the mother in me to just get over it, I don't know. Like Jennifer76 said, it's feels awful to feel bad about causing an accident and then have someone else make you feel even worse.
Not really, if it was pure clumsiness. The thing that makes me mad is when someone does something stupid and you can just see the accident coming--like putting a glass of wine too close to the table--especially when I've said, "Oh, be careful with that glass" or something like that, and it still happens. Then the steam comes out of my ears.
Yes..... unfortunately sometimes I get annoyed and it bothers me when that happens. I don't make a big deal out of it because i don't want to make anybody feel any worse than they already do. Accidents happen. I'll get over it.
unfotunately, i do get annoyed sometimes, but it depends on who was involved..if it's a friend i'm already feeling a little annoyed by, i will find it hard to contain my anger...but if its an honest mistake made by my boyfriend on a great night together or something, i would be all "it's fine! it's fine!" and mean it
Sure, if it's justified. If a friend does something that was ignorant on their part and I am involved I will let them know through communication so they don't do it again but sometimes it's okay to get irritated about something for a short period of time
I don't get upset over things like that, but my boyfriend... someone once spilled a glass of water on him, so he did the same right back, lol.
All the time! Even though I know that I cant help it and that I could have done nothing to change it, it still makes me furious.
A friend of mine spilled orange soda on my couch and another friend laughed her butt off at that. I wasn't mad at the friend who spilled but the one who laughed I def was.
I won't lie I get annoyed especially when the accident was due to their lack of common sense.
Sorry but I can't help it.
I might feel annoyed inside, but I'd never show it...an accident is an accident. I'm too nice for that
