I promise we're not going wall-to-wall Pennsylvania today like some (cough, cable news, cough) but we were just talking about this the other day with John Edwards! The Internet works in mysterious ways. You Obama supporters out there might want to think long and hard about electing his royal handsomeness. Do you want this to befall his pretty mug in four years?

The folks at PopPhoto put together a set of outrageously addictive photos of the candidates that let you roll over and see what the toll of four years as commander in chief will take on their youthful good looks. Yes, McCain, too! You guys are terrible. Go check it out. Who do you think comes out looking the best?
We'll have the Pennsylvania primary results here tonight, the split-second they're called. Don't forget to check back to see who's on the way to looking like their picture.

I think the PopPhoto people were pretty gentle - but Obama still would be easier on the eyes than the other two in four years. Plus, Michelle could spiff him up a bit, get him to grow his fair a little longer.
1I was just thinking about this last night. If you look at Barack's appearance on the Daily Show last night compared to his show appearance just before he announced his bid to run you can see how he has aged already. I saw him in person in November 2006 on his book tour and he looked amazing, he definitely looks a bit lackluster these days and you know it is only going to keep on happening.
2Hillary does pretty well.
I think its already starting to show on Obama, he was lookjing beat in the clip from the Daily Show.
3Stephley, awesome new avatar!
The presidency sure does take a toll on the looks. Any Hollywood stars even remotely considering running for public office should remember that
4What would John Edwards look like after a term in the White House, I wonder?
5Ha, Kia, we both agree, it must be true!
6Edwards might look really really good with a little weathering!
7Finally we're getting to the REAL issues!

9We're not taking all the blame half them gray hairs are from Michele.
10and a quarter of the grays are from the high price of arugula.
11haha hypno. Sooo True! My dad always tells my Mom that his gray hairs are from her!
12That must leave the last quarter on cabaker27.
13I do not want to see Edwards aged. That would break my heart!
14you guys are going to hate me for this... but i can't resist. for mccain they should have just shown a tombstone. oh man. sorry. can i take it back??
15I'm sure last quarter of gray hair is from those 3am phone calls...
16"a quarter of the grays are from the high price of arugula."
17Maybe Obama or Hill Dog will get some Botox... McCain is kind of a lost cause...
18"you guys are going to hate me for this... but i can't resist. for mccain they should have just shown a tombstone. oh man. sorry. can i take it back??"
I was thinking more of the Cryptkeeper, but your idea cracks me up
19I have one comment about the new avtars...
Isn't it kind of interesting that instead of rallying around and promoting your candidate, many of you would rather ridicule someone else's candidate?
From past conversations it seems like McCain doesn't really speak for you guys in many way, but he is your party's nominee. I feel very fortunate to have a candidate in the race that I agree with 90% of the time. I feel bad that my conservative sugar friends don't have someone representing them as accurately.
There is still many months of the campaign left to go. Maybe McCain will inspire you yet.
20Do people really age that much in 4 years?
21With the hours a president keeps, and lack of sleep, yes. Being the leader of the free world is murder on you. It's killed the last 37-38 presidents....
22well it was just a little stunt for the primary today - you know, since we don't really get to participate in that. Tomorrow will be back to business as usual - cupcakes and goldwater as always...
and jill, you should be a diplomat, seriously.
23just a lil tomfoolery in honor of PA!
24I'd go with McCain if I were going only on how the next Prez will age. He's already been through H3ll aka Viet Cong Prison and won't get all that much 'older looking' than he is now.
So, I encourage all you voters to keep BHObama and HRClinton lookin' gooooood by voting for McCain.
LOL!
25I love Tomfoolery! I love it when people use the word tomfoolery!
You guys made me
giggle this morning when I noticed the trend!
26Yay for tomfoolery!
Jill not all of us can have our candidates win. That is how the game is played. There are many who love McCain, or he would not have won the Republican nomination. I have seen when push comes to shove on this site, if we feel we need to back McCain up, we do so.
If I don't agree with McCain I will not pretend that I do, simply because he is our nominee. I don't work that way.
27And really if we can't laugh at our candidates this election, we are all going to go a little crazy!
28In honor of PA primary....everyone get out there and vote!
29Oooh harmony is reppin Hill Dog!
30DUH! OF COURSE!
31I would Harmony, but I can't. I am not a PA resident!
32This avatar thing was a fun joke, but I'll be glad tomorrow when I get my cupcake back... I can't tell you how many times today I read someone else's comment and though, Did I write that? I don't remember writing that??
33Ha! Cabaker I have been doing the same thing! I miss my Barry! But I will hold out till tomorrow. I must be strong.
34I'm not either Cine...I WISH I WAS!
35I switched my avatar like 2 minutes ago and I already miss Kate.
36I have friends in PA but Im pretty sure they are Repub, so no vote-y today for them!
37I could not vote at all this primary. Cali did not send my out of town ballot in time
38Okay ladies. I am off to the gym so I can fit into my wedding dress!
39It just goes to show Obama is inspiring regardless.
I'm kind of impressed actually.
Thanks for all the support guys!
40They could wear democrat disguises Cabaker!!!
Have them vote for Hillary! That's who
McCain would rather run against anyway. hee hee hee my evil plan is working!
41actually, McCain does inspire me in some ways. but he does not represent the whole me, as do yellow labs, mountains, and hot $exy cowboys, young Travolta, etc. Even though this is the only section where I really leave comments. it's the only section where anything is worth talking about for more than one post.
And I live pretty far from Pennsylvania, so I couldn't figure this out for most of the day.
so there you go. confusion over!
42Harmony they are a Marine fam too... And how many Dems did you meet when you were in the service??
43Yo Jude! Have you seen pics of CHELSEA Clinton lately? Gawd, she looks haggard. Guess that's what stumping for your witch of a mother does to ya.
44Aesthetically she was screwed from the beginning--she's got the worst of both parents' features--so it's good for her she's not trying to go the socialite route
but yeah, the campaign does seem to be wreaking havoc on her.
A President who doesn't age horribly in the course of his or her term, though, I would find creepy. I suppose I have this thing about wanting to see that that kind of power has a high price...
45"Aesthetically she was screwed from the beginning--she's got the worst of both parents' features"
I think the photos are exaggerated except for McCain. They were OBVIOUSLY much nicer to him during the editing process than Hillary or Obama.
yesteryear...I like your way of thinking.
46you mean your avatars arent just pictures of you - like mine? i feel so stupid.
47indielove: they were nicer to mccain... but then again, it's kinda hard to draw wrinkles ON wrinkles. its like a friend of mine said once: he's so old his liver spots have liver spots.
48hahaha yesteryear
