Exclusive Photos of Olympic Torch Demonstrations and Relay!
I just got back from the Olympic torch madness in San Francisco. Human rights and pro-China activists showed up. Video of the torch, and other CitizenSugar coverage, will follow tomorrow.

Thanks for the photos, of both sides! Fun job.
I wanted to go yesterday to see the
gathering on Market Street, but it seems like a trip yesterday or today would have been quite hectic.... How was the impact on traffic in the city, etc.? And people's spirits?
1At least you took some pictures of Chinese Olympic supporters, not like a lot of medias. All Chinese came to the relay to support the game are genuinely patriotic. Yet a lot of the Americans who stood with protesters don't really know what they are doing. Some of them were actually paid.
2Thanks for the photos -
My sister was a part of the Relay for the SLC Olympics and it was an amazing experience for her and my family. It's sad that a situation like this caused a 14 year old to drop out of the relay. He missed out on the experience of a lifetime.
3omg, those are totally me and my friends!
4I know them!
5How funny! Small world.
6while i believe that China definitely has some human rights issues, (e.g. the killing of disabled infants, no freedom to religion), I don't think by chanting "free tibet" will pose a convincing argument to the chinese government. it is the underlying human rights issue not allowing people to be free, rather than the control they have over tibet. waving the tibet flag doesn't not resolve the problems current chinese citizens face.
7we should simply boycott all products made in china, slowly forcing their government to be more open to innovation because factory produced goods cannot provide them a steady source of income.
8boycott everything except local organic kale.
