Somebody's watch must be stuck because 3 a.m. has become the new icon of the campaign. In another set of dueling "3 a.m." ads, Hillary Clinton and John McCain compete with time-sensitive messages about the economy.

Nope, your eyes aren't deceiving you. The videos look pretty identical with just the voice-over swapped out. Do we do that? I know, YouTube rules and all, but how about picking your own stock footage to make your own ad? Or is that the inherent power in it — the visual reminder of Hillary's ad drives McCain's message harder?
Are you convinced by either plan to answer the economy's call? (I hope the economy has a good long-distance plan — and fingers to dial. . . .) Is "3 a.m." the new "Dukakis in a tank?"

It's 3am, I must be lonely....or completely uncreative and making unimaginative campaign commercials.
1I preferred when Sunjaya appeared on Fox Five New York to do the "It's 10pm, do you know where your children are?"
2I am more disturbed by the fact that the leader of the free world can't get a decent night's sleep!
3Well I'm not good at figuring out the chronological math as it pertains to time zones, but is it possible that its always 3:00am somewhere.
4I'd be more impressed by a president who was so aware of what was going on in the world, he/she had anticipated the 3 a.m. calls and already had people on the problem.
5If I were working at Nike, Geico, CocaCola, any of those places I'd be putting together my 3am ad right now... How funny would it be if all ads were 3am based??
6Its 3am, is your gecko wearing Nikes drinking Coke?
7Well God forbid the phone rings at 2:59.
8If I was on Hilary's ad team, I'd be thinking "It's 3:00am, don't you think it's time to come up with a completely different ad?"
