Somebody's watch must be stuck because 3 a.m. has become the new icon of the campaign. In another set of dueling "3 a.m." ads, Hillary Clinton and John McCain compete with time-sensitive messages about the economy.

Nope, your eyes aren't deceiving you. The videos look pretty identical with just the voice-over swapped out. Do we do that? I know, YouTube rules and all, but how about picking your own stock footage to make your own ad? Or is that the inherent power in it — the visual reminder of Hillary's ad drives McCain's message harder?

Are you convinced by either plan to answer the economy's call? (I hope the economy has a good long-distance plan — and fingers to dial. . . .) Is "3 a.m." the new "Dukakis in a tank?"
