According to the April issue of Glamour, 70 percent of men prefer women to wear their hair down. That statistic doesn't really surprise me — men love to touch soft hair — but what about those times when you just want it off your neck, away from your face? Or what happens if you prefer the way you look when your hair is up? Of course we all want to look good for our mates, but tell me ladies, do you wear your hair for him or for you?

For me, of course.
1for me normally but if i know he likes it a certain way i might wear it that way for a date. i never change my color for a guy though- just for me!
2I'd do it for the both of us.
3For myself.
I'm cutting my hair soon. My hubby likes it long (mine has grown to my back now), but I prefer short due to LOW maintenance.
4For both, but usually for me.
I sometimes wear it the way he likes for something
special.
5He likes it long so I keep it longer (I like it too) and he likes it when I wear it down. I like it down ... it just gets in the way sometimes so occasionally I'll pull it back.
6When we get married though I'll wear it down. He likes it that way and I think it looks good too
I've been letting my hair grow and it's right in that 'it's driving me freaking crazy' stage. I was complaining about it the other day & I told hubby that I was cutting it all off. He said, "Honey, you don't build a house half way and then just tear it down."
I decided not
to cut it short because I can actually wear a ponytail for the first time in a long time & I do like it longer.
7I voted for both because I style my hair the way I want, which is usually down. On special occasions or when I have time, I'll curl it. I only put my hair up if I'm at the gym or if my hair is dirty. My boyfriend doesn't like short hair so I doubt I'll ever cut it. I've always had long hair and I absolutely love it. As for hair color, I do whatever I please!
8i went on a date with this guy, and he was like "i think you should wear you hair natural. i love girls with natural hair".
i knew right then and there it wasn't gonna work.
HE's NOT gonna be pressing my hair EVERY week just so HE can be happy.
HA!
but other than that, i've always done what i wanted to my hair, and my boyfriends never objected (well except for the lack of understanding why i DIDN'T have sex after i just got it done, or why i have to wear a plastic cap when i showered)
9I wear my hair for me.
"men love to touch soft hair"
Really? According to what study?
10I do it for me.
11I wear my hair for me, but then it usually ends up being for both of us. I've started wearing a simply braid just to get the hair out of my face, and my guy ended up loving it. Basically, as long as I don't do anything too crazy color wise or chop it all off again, he claims to like my hair whichever way I wear it.
12I've pretty much always worn it long, and it waves naturally, and he likes it that way, so we're cool. Every couple years he asks me to think about going blonde, and a couple times I tried it, but hated it. If I were supposed to be a blonde, I'd have stayed that way, and he can just get used to the natural brown.
13fortunately, I like my hair down, and so does my guy...
14I like the way I look with my hair up most of the time, but maybe I should wear it down more...
15For me. It's my hair, I can do what I want with it
16My hair is pretty short (like, as short as I can get away with without making my chubby face look chubbier) so there's not much *to* do to it.
However, I dye it randomly. I know he'd like me to dye it red more often (my guy has a thing for redheads) but I'll dye it whatever color catches my eye, regardless of what he wants.
17Ex-boyfriends gave me good beauty advice: "you don't need make-up and "your hair looks better down".
18Nah I do what I want...
19I do it for me. I've shaved my head twice (once on a dare) and I've grown it long too. It's just hair. It's been dyed every color under the sun except (Bob forbid) blonde. I've been dying it black for quite a few years now and that's what I like. My husband would prefer that I keep it my natural color which as far as I remember is an auburn color with some gray in there. If he likes auburn so much, he should dye his f*+king hair auburn right?
20Absofreakinlutely Superjules!
21i like to wear my hair down...but i kinda get hung up about the length...i feel it looks prettier when it's longer but it requires such upkeep...
22For both.
23I know he never wants me to go short or blonde again sooooo I'm not going to!
I'm low maintenance, and I only have two styles: up (ponytail) and down. And my boyfriend could care less about which style I wear, so I do whatever I feel looks best for me at the time.
24For hubby. He likes it long so I haven't cut it in a while. I don't know beyond that if he has a preference for up or down. I'm generally not the type to do something for a man, but he seems to have a stronger opinion than I do, so whatever.
This week he got his hair cut the way I like it though, so I feel like there's reciprocity. I like his longer on top so he had the lady leave a little more. I thought it was sweet
25My hair was one of the things that first attracted my husband to me (dark brown, very long and very curly). I know he doesn't like blonde hair or straight hair, so I won't do either of those things, but anything else is game.
26For me.
27For both of us. He likes long hair, I like my hair long too!
28Considering that my hair does whatever it wants, I had to choose Other.
29I wear my hair for me. My hair differentiates me from other people and it's not something I would ever change for anyone.
30nevaeh1978, I am in the opposite situation! My boyfriend likes my hair short, and I like it short too, except that I have to cut it every month to keep it looking good. That is just too expensive and time-consuming for me, so I decided to grow it out long. My boyfriend frequently asks me to cut it, but I just say no.
31Mine likes my hair up or left to its natural waviness. I like it down and blown out straight. Most of the time I win, but sometimes he does. He also thinks I look fine without makeup, but he'll never get me to leave our apartment without any.
