Valentine's Day sometimes feels a lot like a Hallmark holiday; nevertheless, a lot of us try to make it our own by honoring love and friendship, indulging ourselves or requesting a little pampering. We might buy lingerie, eat a few chocolate-covered strawberries, or drink a little bubbly as a way to celebrate the carnal and romantic parts of our lives.

I have to work. That totally stinks! Maybe my fiance' will have something fun planned after a 13 hour day at work tomorrw!
1My birthday is today, so we are going out for dinner tonight, so tomorrow night we will just cook at home and open a special bottle of wine.
2Planning a nice dinner at home tomorrow night. Sweet Italian sausage w/ Marinara and smothered onions with a side of pasta. YUM Just need a good dessert. We'll do the nice dinner out on Saturday night.

4well, I would love to go see music and lyrics, and be surprised with a single pink cupcake(its my favorite thing when it comes to a romantic gift) and to just hold each other close, and talk in bed. But, boyfriend works, so... I think its going to be me, my cat, and a stiff drink to put me to sleep.
5Our house is currently under construction so my plans to make a nice dinner for my man have been foiled! So he's taking me to a local crepes place and then, crossing my fingers, off to the cat adoption place to rescue some kitties!

7I won't see my boyfriend until Friday when he is coming back up from Texas to help me move. Instead of moping around about being alone on Valentine's Day, I put together a dinner party with my single female friends. It'll be a good opportunity to see them before I move and have some quality girl time! Plus I love cooking for people, I can't imagine a happier way to spend my evening.
On Sunday night after I'm all moved and unpacked the boyfriend and I are going shopping for new furniture in Dallas (what's more romantic then a new couch? And a bed... cough cough) and then out to a Sushi place I hear is amazing. I'll probably bake some heart shaped cupcakes, too. Every holiday needs cupcakes.
8I am going to paint my nails bright pink and make chocolate dipped shortbread hearts. Oh and drink a special drink.

10Ive planned to give my boyfriend cookies, heart shapped with pink icing! that I made him! and a sexy "coupon" book. and Hes already made me reakfast in bed today! I love having a boyfriend on valentines day!!
11This year we decided that instead of doing something for each other, we'd send flowers to my mother and our grandmothers. The excited phone calls we received from each of them worth far more than any gift or dinner out we could have shared.
12My ex boyfriend is flying 1,500 miles to come and spend the weekend with me... sounds really weird to me too don't worry.
