I admit it — I'm a huge presidential trivia fanatic. I can list them backwards, forwards, you say a number, I'll tell you which president it was, the whole shebang. I'm the Rain Man of the West Wing. But Liberty and I have been debating this key question: "Who was the best president?" Given the voting spirit sweeping the nation, we thought the best way to settle this was asking you to vote. (Don't worry Michigan and Florida, you guys, too!) So have at it! Play our Who's the Best President Faceoff!
How does it work? Each time you select the president with the "better" score – based on reader's votes — your score adds up! Find out how our former presidents stack up against one another! Play our game and find out!

OMG this looks like sooo much fun!!!! I say that in all seriousness. As someone who wouldn't stop harassing my mother to read me all the books about the presidents that we could find at the library when I was four... and as someone who prefers a trip to Monticello or Mount Vernon over one to Six Flags. I think I've just found the best time-waster ever!
1Oooo I LOVE this! Thanks Liberty/Citizen!
2I'm so awful at the face off games on here and this one is no exception.
I'll stick with the Guess Whos!
3Apparently, there was a time when silly hair didn't affect your electability!
4I love that if you don't agree the game is over. Very democratic.
5I really don't understand the concept of these faceoffs...and I tend to like underrated things (for example, I'm afraid I would totally pick Nixon in the above faceoff) so I don't last very long.
6I think a large part of the problem with this game is that it's more of a "which president do people recognise more?" type game - not which one was actually "better" in any semi-objective sense. But it's still quite interesting.
7Point proven: I selected Ronald Reagan over William Henry Harrison. And got it wrong. Ol' Tippecanoe only did ONE thing in his presidency: he died. That doesn't constitute any grounds for a "good" or "bad" presidency.
Then again, maybe it says something about what Americans ideas about the political system?
8Enough! I'm not playing anymore! This game just told me JFK was a better president than Thomas Jefferson! ARGH! NOOoooo!!!
It's probably better to play this game if you don't know much about the presidents, and if you don't have longstanding relationships with the Founding Fathers
9I totally agree with you 100% bailaorgaditana. As a political science and history major I became such a big president buff and I wanted to come through the computer when I choose someone against Coolidge and every time coolidge won...does anyone know about the the great depression??? Same president! Apparently Jefferson drafting the Declaration of Independence and being one of our country's founding fathers do not count for anything. I also got William Henry Harrison and he was in office for one month before he died...should he even count?
10OK I have to stop playing this game because some of these majority answers are truly who do you recognize not who is better, Ford over Pierce? Come on! Pierce is the only president to have the same cabinet members when he left office as when he began, FORD was not even elected vice president or president! Kansas-Nebraska act??? Although many did not agree with it, it was a big deal. Ford couldn't even be elected as President. Come on!
11I lost because i said Thomas Jefferson was a better president than George Washington who actually wasn't a great presidant and didn't even want to be president. Jefferson got us the Louisiana purchase and G.W didn't even like talking to people. These games are really subjective and stupid as hell.
