Dear Poll: Which Type of Date Takes the Cake?

Sometimes the best date is the one least expected, like when you meet an amazing guy and spend the entire night gallivanting through the streets. Then again, there’s nothing like your possible future beau planning a wonderful evening down to the smallest detail just to impress you. OK, I’ve never experienced either of these dream dates, but I'd have to go with the totally spontaneous date as my pick. What about you?

The best time I had with my current bf wasn't on any of our regular dates. I wanted to go kite flying on Easter Monday (it's a public holiday in my country) at the beach, so I called him on Easter Sunday afternoon after flying a kite after so many years, and he was like okay he'll see what he could do. All the stores that sold kites were closed because it was a public holiday, and do you know what he did? He made a kite for me, from scratch, and it was well built and strong, he stayed up almost all night building it. We took it to the beach and had a grand time flying it, some people there wanted us to sell them the kite Smiling but we didn't. But that was the best time I ever had.

iRose: I went kite flying on Easter Sunday too! It was really fun. Too bad there isn't Easter Monday in the US, I miss it.

#3 is my favorite kind of date. Going out is nice but staying in and snuggling and just being together is the best, imo.

My boyfriend and I have had plenty of spontaneous dates, but I absolutely love the mellow at-home dates. We have a long distance relationship so I like spending as much time alone together as we can when we do see each other. But, we don't like being bums all day long either. We love going out, sight-seeing, exploring, and going on adventures. Lol! Smiling
