Does this friend kiss you on the lips infront of his wife? If you feel uncomfortable, just don't let him kiss you. You shouldn't have to sacrifice your comfort for his need for affection. You don't need to kiss any married man no matter if they're family or not, because people just need to keep their lips to themselves. Seriously, you don't know what people do with their lips behind closed doors. It's not a good idea for people to just kiss other people. I'm sure that the meaning behind the kiss is harmless, especially if he does it infront of his wife. It's just not a good idea for him to kiss you on the lips. Its not sanitary, which makes kissing a privilege.

I kiss my close girlfriends and fmaily members on the lips but for all others it's the cheek...I mean I wouldn't be pissed if someone else tried too. But it's not something I do.

I kiss everyone that is not my boyfriend on the CHEEK. Its part of the spanish culture to do so..but not on the lips! I think that will def make me uncomfortable

I think it's completely inappropriate. This reminds me of one of the old hosts of Family Feud who would kiss EVERY woman on the lips. I personally think it is gross. I barely kiss any of my family members on the lips. Basically just my mom and my boyfriend.

I've had guy friends who did this which made it very uncomfortable for me. One guy friend even kissed me on the lips in front of my ex! It was a really awkward situation.

The only person I kiss on the lips is my bf. Everybody else, including family, is on the cheek. And it would be a peck. Not a full on kiss on their cheek.

I am friends with a married couple and he always tries to kiss all the girls on the lips. I find it very strange. He does it in front of his wife. She told me one time that a friend of hers told her that she thought he was hitting on her. My friend got a good laugh out of it.

I personally don't like it, but I know that they are a very sexual couple and it wouldn't surprise me if they were swingers.

I consider that too intimate for a casual greeting, even with most of my family, that would be too weird.

Presently my BF, my girlfriends and my neices and nephew get a kiss on the lips. But I have had close guy friends in the past who give a kiss on the lips as a hello or a goodbye and it didn't bother me.

I agree with emalove, kaenai, and thegiraffe - for ME kissing anyone other than the person I am intimate with is done on the cheek. Kissing is very personal to me so kissing any family members on the lips would freak me out. I do have friends that kiss their kids on the lips and have seen adults do it too.. I usually just turn my head because it makes me uncomfortable.

I don't really like it when a guy other than my fiance kisses me on the lips so when I realize that's the drill with someone, I just start giving them my cheek and slowly the problem goes away.
