If you get their protection, the Secret Service will bestow you with a secret code name so they can talk about your whereabouts privately. The newest New York magazine's Approval Matrix featured Barack Obama's secret name and called it, "The most badass Secret Service code name ever. What's up now, Axis of Evil?" No peeking yet! Let's see if you can figure out which politician goes with which super-cool code name.

Come on, what could be cooler than a guy following you around whispering into his little wrist microphone, "Citizen is moving." Awesome.

3 out of 5 good guesses
1Dang I suck! haha
23/5
35/5! I guessed on Chelsea and Cheney. (Although, I knew Cheney liked to fish, so it wasn't a total guess.)
4Obama's codename...how cool is that???
5Do they get to pick their own codename, or does the Secret Service do it for them?
6i thought bill clinton's was "elvis". was that an snl skit or something because i swear that's what i heard SOMEWHERE
7Ok isn't the whole point (of secret service names) to be able to talk about the person w/out others know who you are talking about? Letting the public know/find out what the names are defeats the point. Just saying....
Other than that... awesome quiz... although apparently I suck: 2/5
8Would it be possible to put a short, 5 question quiz like this all on one page, instead of having to click through five different time-consuming page loads? taking quizes isn't even fun anymore.
9I hear you kikidawn--apparently the code names are just more tradition now than anything really secure. But they're neat.
10Thanks Citizen! I didn't realize that it was just more tradition now. I hope my comment wasn't misinterpreted. I didn't mean that you were doing any wrong by making the quiz... I thought it was a cool quiz. I meant that I found it weird that the SS or whoever would let the public know the names.
Yeah I think they are cool too
I wonder what mine would be lol...
11haha anyone remember the West Wing episode where CJ finds out her codename is Flamingo??? classic...
12only got the mccain question correctomondo
13Oh no worries kikidawn--I just discovered that while I was making the quiz. I can't imagine the uproar if they got rid of the tradition. Can you imagine being the first president who doesn't get a nickname? Sad! Some of the old first lady names were really precious too--Calico? Cameo? Aww!
14I am pretty sure the SS picks them.
15I got zero! That's bad! Love Renegade though!
16Fun quiz!
17hummm, what would my secret service code name be..maybe lickety split
18I liked this quiz! 2 out of 5. Boo!
19Wow, 4/5 on guessing!
20I got the McCain one wrong. I thought they had Secret Service coverage when they were a confirmed candidate. Although I'm curious as to what point it starts. Obviously not when they first start running.
21Kikidawn - I was gonna ask the same!
22I was only correct on Obama's & Clinton's code names (2/5!) Oh well! If these names are supposed to be secret why do we know about?
23Ooohhh, I bombed this one. Zero correct! Ah, it was fun finding out the codes names though, thanks!
24Q3: John McCain has had a permanent secret service code name assigned since this quiz was made. It's Pheonix.
