Are you the type that watches the pot, waiting for the water to boil? Or do you continuously press the elevator button even though it's already ignited? If so, you're probably a little impatient! I'll be the first to admit that I am, especially when it comes to traffic lights, people being late, and poor service, but I'm proud to say that I've gotten much better in my old age. So what about you? Are you impatient, and if so, do tell, what about?

i am very impatient... impatient for everything... i have no idea y but i would love to find a way to calm that down... for example: ive been single for over a year now and i was seeing someone (that didn't work) but now i am liking a nu guy... he says that we are friends and he wants to get to no me... now me being so impatient this bothers me i dont no how to take it slow nor do i no how to let him get a hold of me first so im afraid because of me being so impatient i might push this guy away... anyone have any suggestions on how i can be more patient?...
1I get really impatient when people stand on an escalator blocking the entire path- move to one side, I'm in a hurry!
2SLOW DRIVERS!
3They drive me nuts! People who go slwoer then the speed limit! I am nto a crazy driver, but I am an aggressive driver!
I can be a pretty impatient driver, especially when I'm late and I need to get somewhere. I hate traffic.
4waiting for someone to text or call me back.. If it doesn't happen right away I'm pretty sure they are dead.
5I am super impatient. The list includes: slow drivers, people who bring shopping carts down little aisles, long lines, slow people, traffic, etc.
6Automated phone customer service and waiting times.
7Everything. But I'm working on it!
8INDECISIVE PEOPLE!!!!.....but I too, am working on it. Breathe iiiiiin breathe ooooooout. ohmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
9Incompetence and laziness. When people are incompetent at their jobs, or can't do something that they obviously have the ability to, it drives me INSANE. Laziness in general would cause anyone to lose patience.
10*don't do something that they obviously have the ability to
11I'm patient about everything except for at restaurants. I get impatient if the food takes too long to come out.
12I completely agree with JovianSkies...laziness and lack of common sense. I am a very impateint person.
Slow walkers in stores....that one gets me too. Oh, and parents who do not discipline their kids in public. I have NO patience for that mess.
13Just about everything makes me impatient
I really need to learn to relax more. The
worst thought is when i am running late for work and i get stuck behind someone going 20 MPH. It drives me crazy!
14It really really really bothers me when Im standing in line behind someone and they wait until the very last moment to get their wallet out. I dont know why, it really irritates me. I always have my wallet out, usually with money in hand by the time I even get to the register. I also get really bad road rage. (like seriously) The worst is when Im driving down a two lane road and thier is someone in front of me, and someone next to them and they are driving at the exact same speed (too slow) so I cant get around.
15oh yeah, and people who just stop walking. Like when you are at the store, walking behind someone and they just stop, I dont care why they stopped, it makes me mad.
16oh, and Im not working on it...those things will probably always irritate me.
17Haha, now that I think about it I guess I'm a little impatient. The worst is getting injured/sick in the middle of my marathon training season...I can't STAND knowing that I will have to go back out and slowly..work up to where I was. As a result, I have continued to run through injuries and illness and nothing is improving.
18Um..other than that, I HATE slow drivers, traffic, etc.
I like to get where I'm going as quickly as possible. Any obstacle will drive me crazy.
allourregrets .. youre gonna hate me.. i have that bad habit. it drives my bf insane because thats his pet peeve too.. and i swear im trying hard to fix it.. hahaha.
im not very impatient really.. just when it comes to getting texts replies..
19I am definitely impatient with a lot of things but when it comes to driving, watch out! I have zero patience for people on the road who are either driving poorly or too slow for my liking. I also can not stand waiting for people. Late people really bother me.
20I am impatient about EVERYTHING. Slow drivers. Pedestrians who cross the road in front of you when your light is green and theirs is red, but make no effort to move a little bit faster. People who buy huge carts full of stuff at the grocery store, pay with checks, AND have huge sheafs of coupons. People who bring way too many things to the express lane. People who walk too slow in front of me when I can't get around them. Incompetence. Idiocy. People who ask me the same damn question multiple times even though they're just going to receive the same damn answer every time. Slow Internet connections. Too many people at the gas station.
I could go on, but I think I'm starting to sound like a road-ragin' psycho
21I am very impatient...can't stand slow drivers, waiting in line, waiting for other people to get ready, people who show up late, people who walk too slow in front of me and they're blocking my path, bad service, slow service, slow internet connection, when my phone decides to be slow, when i'm hungry and the water just won't reach a boil fast enough (or the food in the oven is taking FOREVER to bake)...lol the list can go on and on and on but i'm just too impatient to write it all down.
22You guys scare me.
I'm pretty patient.
However, I can be intolerant.
I don't tolerate mean-spirited behavior from others.
If I get the vibe someone is mean-spirited (even when they're nice to me, but mean towards others), I won't associate with that person anymore. That sort of attitude or behavior make me feel
uneasy, and I get sick to my stomach.
23Incompetent people, slow drivers, people who write checks at the grocery store, people who block aisles at the grocery store, people who talk on the their cellphone and don't realize they're blocking people, laziness, stupidity, waiting forever to talk to a person on the phone, slow walkers, crying children, and I'll admit it, children in general.
I'm trying to work on the driving impatience because, living in Houston, I can be at the brink of tears of anger during rush hour. The rest, oh well, I can only be so calm.
24People who talk on their phones when they drive and obviously have NO skills to do to... seen it too many times.
And call me crazy, well cause this will sound crazy, but I have little patience for people who have no patience (so I have no patience for myself either too?) Say for example I am stuck behind a car going 10 under, but I can't pass "safely", the jerk behind me is going to take it out on ME and tailgate me.
25I think the question should be "what are you not impatient about?" Seriously, I am impatient about most things. I admit I have a problem. That is the first step....
26i am very patient, my husband is not, he has picked up the "cock sucker" line from the show deadwood to describe anyone who makes him mad.
27Im getting very impatient right now, because for the last 2 days the water that comes out of the water machine thing at work taste like dirt. Id like it if someone would clean that thing out...
28everything! haha no, not really but I would say I am pretty impatient and irritable when it comes to random things.
29I am very impatient with just about everything. The only people I cut some slack to are my kids. This weekend I bought new drapes. My BF knew what I was getting when I went to the store. I got home with everything and started ironing them. As I watched him sit and do nothing for the hour it took me to iron them and lay them out nicely my blood began to boil. (He was supposed to be hanging the new hardware for me). Long story short, he waited two hours/I went off, had to re-iron the drapes and I didn't speak to him much the rest of the weekend.
I am also really impatient with driving and have bad road rage too. I am REALLY trying to stop because soon my 1 & 3/4 daughter will have the ability to cuss you out and break you down in scathing druck driver mouth.
also I hate at the grocery store when someone waits until the cashier is done ringing up all their stuff and then makes them bag their things too, when all they had to do was move a bit and put the crap in bags themselves while the cashier was checking everything. It is utterly amazing how lazy people can be!
30very impatient here
31slow text replies drive me nuts.
I'm okay while waiting in a line if its moving at a decent pace but I get irate if its take the one lady with the least items the longest.
oh and the self checkouts - I loose my cool when I have to wait for some moron who can touch the flippin' screen or doesn't know how to weigh the veggies or whatever else would cause a backup in the self checkout lanes
the bank tellers. omg so slow.
road rage is a part of my daily life. there is no getting away from it. every where I go something randomly stupid must go down on the highway. brake loving, non turn signal using, slow pokes in the wrong lane.
my friend who is not computer saavy. omg! I say go to my documents and she says I dont have my documents! wtf! yes you do!
im quite patient and not easily irritated (uness im PMSing in which case BEWARE, breathing can piss me off =P)
the only thing that makes me boil with fury is IGNORANT RUDE INCOSIDERATE SELFISH TOO SLOW DRIVERS! howeverrrrrr, i've become sooooo much better since i had the huge ass accident that totalled my car and had it not been for God deciding to save me, would've totally killed me....soo yea i totally toned it down =)
32Yes, I'm pretty impatient, but not as bad as I used to be.
Traffic issues of course are annoying. I've been known to get a little bit of road rage! But nothing too bad.
And I HATE waiting for people...I never make people wait for me, so it drives me nuts when people can't be on time and keep others waiting. I just think it's rude.
33The only thing that really gets to me is when I explain something to someone, or tell them a story, and they start asking questions that tell me they haven't been listening because I already provided those details they are asking for. Then they want me to explain it over again, which I don't feel like doing a second time.
Oh, I also have a low tolerance for people whose humor is at someone's else's expense, but that probably would fall under a different question.
34Hmmmm I'd say I'm impatient waiting for things to come in the mail when I order them online, slow drivers, people blocking the entire aisle at the grocery store and won't move after you say "excuse me" a dozen times and I think that's about it...
35EVERYTHING!
i don't blow up as often as i use to, but, if it doesn happen when i want it, and think it should happen, then it's irksome.
like if someone is slow (not very bright) i get aggrevated. i'm not the smartest person in the world, but i just have these expectations of people to think fast.
i hate when someone is suppose to be somewhere or in a certain order, and it's not . . .i attribute it to some idiot not doing their job. and i hate when dipsticks get paid to do something and they don't do it because they are blazin' idiot-boxes.
. . .but other than that, i'm patient.
36i'm impatient with wheenies.
look, no body cares about you feeling bad about something (besides your mom and your best friends). i hate when people expect the world to revolve around their emotions.
this is life. and people (especially here in L.A) care more about how often their cat takes a dump than how the next person feels.
such it up, and handle your business. you're an adult for F*ck's Sake.
(sorry, venting about some cry-baby at work who feels like everyone should care that her boyfriend is cheating on her, and that she needs a lighter work load, and to basically walk around the office all day without doing any work, because she "loves" him, and they have been dating for 3 months! i swear, i want to strangle her. and it doesn't help that she has a baby voice and comes to work late, and asks me STUPID questions EVERYDAY.)
ok, i feel 30% better. thanks.
37I'm impatient in general because I prefer fast/concise and effective. I hate slow drivers (especially if they're texting or gabbing), slow elevators, automated services and slow walkers (I attend a huge public university). I sound awful, but I can honestly say that I provide the same courtesy to everyone, so I'm not wasting anyone's time.
38Everything.
I want it and I want it now!
Ha ha!
J/K
What drives me crazy is when people are late for appointments!
I am always on time!
I hate waiting when I have an appointment!
Oh, and I hate when people write checks at stores!
39Use your ATM card people! Sheesh!
At least have it mostly filled out by the time it's your turn!
Ack!
No, Hootie.
it was my niece's birthday, and i was stopping by the store to get some ice, and extra what-nots. i was the hostess, and i get very Bridzilla-B*tch when i host events.
and i swear it must have been County day, because these women were cashing in their WIC thingies, i guess it's like filling out a check, but much slower, because the cashier was looking for those particular items amoungst the girl's groceries. ( i though when you got government assistance that they just give you a lump sum of money and you do what you want with it.) so out of my lack of knowledge of how this crap works, and me already being on b*tch-mode, i was HOT.
i move over to the next line, and there was another chicken-headed girl doing the same THING!!!!!!
i just wanted F*CKIN' ICE!!!!
they should have a special line for those people who have government monies. i don't have time for the shenaningans!
40net speed, don't. suck.all. the. BANDWIDTH!
41Late trains/buses, habitually late coworkers, slow elevators...
42Slow drivers and when food service workers at school take their lunch break at the busiest food time of the day.
43When someone tells me they are going to do something I expect them to do it with a reasonable time. I cant stand waiting on someone to keep their word. Example my soon to be Boyfriend said he will call me in the morning well its almost 11am and still no call! So I send him a text reminding him to call me and responds by telling me I am "super impatient" WELl EXCUSE ME! I havent spoke to you in 3 days I just thought you would follow thru! Ok Im venting and needed to share this. I understand things happen people get busy, but dang! What about just keeping your word, or better yet sending me a text apologizing and telling me you will call!
