This is it! Texas is in! And it's a shocker! Ohio results in too! John McCain has also captured the Republican nomination! Mike Huckabee has dropped out.
Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont — with a total of 370 Democratic and 256 Republican delegates — the results today made a huge difference in this race.

For Republicans, the primaries gave John McCain enough delegates to claim the nomination, and Mike Huckabee has graciously bowed out.
In the Democratic field, Hillary Clinton has put a decisive halt to Barack Obama's winning streak of 11 straight contests since Super Tuesday, and reinvigorated her campaign.
And now the results! To see who's won, read more.
| State | Democrats | Republicans |
|---|---|---|
| Ohio | Clinton | McCain |
| Texas | Clinton | McCain |
| Rhode Island | Clinton | McCain | Vermont | Obama | McCain |

And Vermont makes it 12 in a row!
1That big picture of Hillary's face gives me the creeps!
2Hi, I was so hoping Hillary would get Vermont.
3Vermont looks like it will be another huge win for him, too.
4OMG, I just got back from the caucus in Austin, and that was such an unorganized mess!
5So, at the moment, Obama has won Vermont by over 20 points, Clinton has won RI by over 20 points, Obama is ahead in Texas by two points and Clinton is ahead in Ohio by 16 points.
6Clinton has won Ohio and its neck and neck in Texan, oh sweet Xenu the drama
7Clinton won in Ohio and RI by almost 20 points. Obama won in Vermont by 20 points. They are literally 50-49 in Texas. A few minutes ago Obama was leading, but now Clinton is. This is crazy!
8Only 1% of Houston has been counted,30% of Austin,35% of Dallas. Those areas are all going for Obama. The caucus votes have to be counted as well. It's going to be a long night.
9"OMG, I just got back from the caucus in Austin, and that was such an unorganized mess!"
I'm hearing there may be lawyers called on the mess that's going on in Texas. People were being turned away from voting and being told that someone already voted for them!
10I just saw Clinton talking wearing a republican red suit. She is starting to make me sick on the stomach. She knows there is no way she catch Obama in the delagate count. But she continues this contest and continues to divide the democratic party. While she's at it she'll give the republicans ideas about how to attack Obama. Use half truths and lies.
11This is more exciting than a saber tooth tiger eating a woolly mammoths face off with a spoon!
Let's go Hilldog!
12Go Hillary!!!! I am so happy for her. If there are any Clinton supporters in here, I have started a group for our girl. I know this is the candidate we need in office. I am so proud of her and I am near tears because I have never felt so sure that our country needs her. This is the first time in eight years I have ever felt any hope for this country. Clinton 08!!!!
13I'm in tears tonight, too, Angelina. LOL!
14I hate the primacaucus thing. I couldn;t go to the caucus because my three-year old is sick and I can't drag him there.
15It's just ridiculous.
@ liliblu
16Um, I see Obama wearing a red tie.
I don't think you should relegate red to the republicans, it's just to good of a color to keep to one party.
Redsugar, I was thinking the same thing. lol
17They should wear blue and red clothes and really confuse everyone!
18I called it Republican Red because of her recent comments. She basically said vote for me or vote for McCain. If she really thinks that McCain and 100 more years in Iraq would be better for the country than Barack Obama, she is not a true democrat.
19This is so exciting! I agree with Love Angelina. No matter who you are going for, this is such an exciting time and I too finally feel hope for our country! But I am in Houston and there has been such a mess!! C'mon Texas! Lets get our act together!!
20lisseth0221, what did you see causing Houston to be such a mess?
21So I read earlier that Clinton needed to win by large margins in Ohio and Texas to really have a solid shot at the Democratic nomination - is that really the case? Not just win, but like landslide?
22Yes she needed to win by large double digit margins in Ohio and Texas to have even a remote chance.
23I went to caucus earlier tonight, and it was absolutely horrible. Can't even be confident my vote will be counted. The only way I got out at the time I did, was because I jumped in and started recording names. When we went into our precinct's caucus location, there weren't even any tables set up. Then, all the tables they were bringing in, were taken to the Obama side of the gym, and we were stuck with one person taking down names. If it weren't for the younger Clinton supporters stepping up and taking charge, the Clinton side would have been completely ignored.
24Wow, that's insane, Brandy.
25
26Come on Texas! Let's pull one out for Hillary!
27Some of the caucuses did not start until 10pm and 11pm. Texas won't be determined tonight.
28Yeah, according to CNN.com the Texas caucus is only 5% reporting right now.
29Another reason not to vote for Hillary.

30I don't find it shocking at all.
31Hill needed this, I'm so excited! YAY!!!!
32GO HILLARY,YAH!!!!!
33As someone who is a democrat (and hasn't decided yet between Hil and Obama)I do have to say that if we HAD to have another Republican I actually do not mind McCain....I kind of like him
34Congrats Hillary!! I'm so happy...
35Go Hillary!!! With all the negative press she has received lately, I honestly thought she'd win at most one of the two big states! The Clintons really are a formidable force.
36yay hillary! =]
37Yay Hillary! Now we're just waiting for the rest of the Texas caucus votes to come in. It will take forever because it was the most messed up experience ever. I had to leave my faith with the opposing side in that my vote would be counted and the form not just thrown out after we left. I do not feel confident that the process was done correctly or that the votes are going to be recorded properly. Just awful! I know of plenty of people who were headed home to complain to the Dallas County Democratic Offices.
38nice... i was worried about her for a bit
39I guess I am one of the few here who is rooting for Obama and not Hillary. I want a woman president but I do not want it to be Hillary Clinton.
40What negative press has Hillary received? All I have heard is Hillary and SNL complaining that she is receiving negative press. Every time she is asked a hard question her campaign cries foul.
41according to wikipedia
Barack Obama died of constipationn on March 5, 2008.[166]
today??? :S its that true????
42OH OH NO NO, ITS NOT THERE ANYMORE I GUESS IT WAS A MISTAKE
43Any, anyone can post anything on Wikipedia. You can go in and edit any article you want to.
I'm so excited about Hillary winning. Honestly, I didn't think she still had a chance, but this gives me higher hopes!
44Well I had to go vote at our local library and I honestly believe that no one was expecting the number of people who showed up. There was over 200 people trying to caucus and the people in charge were just unorganized and unknowledgable about the whole mess! But it wasn't as bad as some other places around Houston - One area had called the police because they said the crowd was unruly and rioting!! The voters there were so turned off by this that they didn't even vote anymore according to local news! Oh! And some people in another precinct showed up to vote but supposedly someone else had already voted under their name! The reason for this that they gave was that some people were going door-to-door in neighborhoods. Sounds pretty shady... But other than all the mess I am excited to see how it all plays out!
45Yikes, I had no idea people still fell for Hilary and Bill's BS.
46I love how Obama supporters blatantly bash Hillary then attack Hillary's campaign for bashing Obama. I'm not talking about one specific person on this post, just a lot of Obama supporters I've encountered.
Also, I hate to break it to the Obama supporters, but Hillary does still have a chance. She needed large wins to pull ahead on March 4, but she definitely didn't need large wins to stay in the race.
47Go Hillary! My caucus situation in Houston wasn't that bad- I just think the primary/caucus thing is incredibly annoying and confusing.
I was pretty amazed that Hillary won in Texas, though. There was an Obama ad running about every 5 minutes on TV in Houston and very few Hillary ads. I'm looking forward to see what happens!
48With Ohio, generally know as a swing state, backing Clinton and her win in Texas, Hillary is more than definately still in this race. She won big yesterday!
49GO HILLARY, i missed american idol just to vote, and i have to say i agree with loveangelina, we need her in office a STRONG and COURAGEOUS WOMAN in office, obama is too inexperienced, and yes hil is still in, the word here in san antonio is that people's votes for hil were thrown away and only obamas were accepted, thats dirty and when it all comes back the right person will win and thats hillary
