"Experience" in terms of years means little to me if that experience involves making the wrong calls, or taking credit for one's husband's good decisions while refusing to accept responsibility for his poor ones. I would much rather have less experience and better judgment than more experience and poorer, or more political, or more self-serving, or more corrupt, judgment. So....it's still Barack all the way for me--and no amount of Lyndon Johnson-style "Daisy" scare tactics is going to change my mind.

Saw these ads on Friday — I can't believe how quickly Team Obama turned the response ad around.

I watched Hillary's biography on one of the news channels this weekend. It showed that her first offical job after law school was working on the Nixon impeachment trial...and Bill got her that job TOO! The call originally came requesting Bill. He declined, but suggested they hire his girlfriend Hillary.

I just don't know what experience she is talking about. Except for the past few years, she has piggy backed on her husband's accomplishments. What has she done by herself in regards to national security?

When it comes down to it, she does show lack of judgement. Obama's speech wasn't just against the war generically, he specifically predicted where we are today. The specifics are incredibly impressive.

The ad itself came across as desperate. Some of the parodies have been fun -- but the best comments/observations I've come across in its wake are,

1) if the call is SO important, why did she let it ring SIX times?
2) why is she still wearing a pantsuit at 3 am??

What I find interesting about all of this is that Obama keeps bringing up that Hillary "voted wrong" for being pro-war. HOWEVER, Obama never even voted!!! He couldn't, he was in the state senate. So while he may have been against the war the entire time, I don't think its fair that he brings her vote up when he was never even able to participate... amd who truly knows what his vote would have been hmmm?

I LOVE sugarbean's response, haha. Those commercials are running like crazy here in Texas. All I can say is that I already voted early and I can't wait to rock the cauc-us tomorrow.

OK 2 things.

I - this sounds like an ad for McCain - military experience and has been tested in a crisis???? Hello - earth to Hillary, you were first lady, not Secretary of Defense. If she gets the nod, I can imagine McCain running the ad and saying at the end, "see, even Hillary thinks I should be president"

2- she keeps making bad "crisis policies, she voted for the war, and even that would be not bad if she had learned from it, but she did not, she recently voted on somethings that may give Bush or McCain if he is elected a basis to use unnecessary force against Iran.

I'm not really a huge Obama supporter, but she has been losing it lately, if anything her recent attacks and stupid ads made me lean towards Obama by showing her faults!

Ok, can someone please explain to me what Obama's camp means by "change"? Change from what to what? Change from Bush to Obama? Cause that's pretty obvious but if there's a deeper meaning that I'm not getting, please explain.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that 126 democrats in the House of Representatives voted against the October 2002 resolution giving Bush the authority to start a war against Iraq. There were also 21 democrats in the Senate who voted against the resolution. I have no reason to doubt Barack Obama stance on the Iraq occupation. There were 147 democrats who had the good judgement to vote against the resolution. Senator Obama would have made it 148.

Since Obama didn't vote then how can he use Hillary's vote against her? Besides, if he had been able to vote, with his history of voting practices his vote probable would have been "PRESENT".

Many Americans are unhappy with the direction our country has taken. People are dissatisfied with where they are and the way the country is being goverened. America is divided in so many ways and the gaps keep growing. We are divided by race, gender, religion, and class. Many of our elected officials play on those divisions to fulfill there ambitions. Well there are a lot of us who are tired of it. We are tired of the race baiting that plays on people's fear of difference. We are sick of lies being spoken as if they are truth. Many of us want CHANGE. We are ready for the country to take a different course, a different direction. We want to change the way we deal with one another in this country. People want their concerns, their voices to be heard and a real say in how the country is run. People who want change are looking to make this country a better place. We will know when we accomplish it when we see a difference in our country and in ourselves.

Last night Jon Stewart blew up Hil's new commercial. It's the exact same commercial Mondale had in 1984. You can see the obvious rip-off in the link below. Don't pay any attention to the tool that posted it though. He's just a Hil-hater. Barrack just lifted a speech recently, so I think they can call a draw on this one.

As for me....
I'm so sick of hearing about the vote for the Iraqi war. I'm fine with the fact that Hil voted for the war. I'm just disappointed that she hasn't owned up to the fact that it wasn't the best decision. I think one of the virtues of a great leader is being able to look critically at yourself and recognize if mistakes were made. That's one of the many problems I have with Bush.

Let's face it. While in hindsight the war was/is a bad idea, the worst part of it is not the fact that we went there, but what happened when we landed there. We did nothing to protect the citizens of Iraq and that is what we should be ashamed of the most. They are still unprotected unless you count the Iraqi Army and Police (almost all Shi'a)or the local militias sponsored by the US that have been formed (bribed)(mostly Sunni). Our soldiers could be their best bet BUT they don't know who to trust and they don't understand the language.

Nothing good will come from this...

He didn't just casually mention that he was against the war. He made a very long speech that very SPECIFICALLY listed the reasons that we shouldn't go to war. The reasons that he listed are exactly what has happened. As Newsweek pointed out, Obama has accurate long term vision. It was a risk for him to speak out against the war. When he sought re-election, Keyes used it against him.

Hillary made the wrong decision. The information that would have lead to the right decision was available, and she ignored it and came to the wrong conclusion. Going to war in Iraq has made our world SO MUCH MORE DANGEROUS. We have not made any progress against the people who do organize and carry out attacks on American soil, because we are too distracted by this money pit. We have levees breaking, interstate collapsing, schools failing, all because our government made the WRONG decision to go to war.

If you look at the events of the world in recent years, so many things have changed because the US has become more vulnerable than ever before. Our debt has strengthened China, Iran has become more bold, the list goes on and on. These are all side effects of our Congress members ignoring the facts and making the wrong decision to go to war.

As Obama's speech shows, the facts were available. You just have to be smart enough pay attention.

I keep seeing posts that talk about Obama's voting present. Here is a quote I read today that speaks to that and much more.
