Think Hollywood is just a proverbial hotbed of liberals? Not according to actress Angie Harmon who declares proudly, "I'm Voting For John McCain!"
In this week's Us Weekly the former Law & Order McCain supporter said,
There are a lot more people in LA voting for McCain than you think. We have an underground Republican Party!”
Who's invited to that party? Spurious lists of Hollywood conservatives abound, but not including obvious conservatives like Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Chuck Norris, rumor has it Jessica Simpson, James Woods, and Tony Danza all make the invite cut. And that friends, is the first time those names have ever appeared in the same sentence!

10Most of those weren't surprising to me at all. Specifically, I've heard Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shannen Doherty, and James Woods speak about their conservative views before. And Ben Stein gives conservative speeches on campuses all the time! (Maybe he's one of the obvious ones you were referring to, Citizen.) Regardless, I think liberal stars, such as Barbara Streisand and Jane Fonda, are just more vocal, so it lends to the perception that everyone in Hollywood is liberal. That being said, I'm sure more stars/in front of the camera people are liberal than are conservative, but I don't think there's as big of a divide as people think.

12Yeah God forbid we want a right to choose where we spend our money, as opposed to the federal government.
I am not surprised Angie would be a republican - fits the stereotype - usually caught up with "What I have - then what is best for society" and married to an athlete. But I know really great Republicans like Dan Evans - the ex-Governor of the State of Washington - if he was on the Republican ticket I would consider voting for him. Why can't the Republican party find someone like him? Some of the hollywood democrats are not ones that I would be real proud to have affiliated with either.
