The United Kingdom's very own Prince Harry is fighting on the front lines in Afghanistan. He's been there for 10 weeks, among fellow soldiers who were sworn to secrecy, along with news organizations, before word got out on the Drudge Report. His grandmum, Queen Elizabeth, broke the news of deployment to an excited Harry, who says that the Queen was relieved that he finally got a chance to do what he wanted. Gosh, princes are so spoiled.
This week, embedded reporters caught up with Harry, and the prince revealed that he hasn't showered in four days. Yum. I wonder what Dirty (Prince) Harry smells like? Harry told the BBC: "It's very nice to be sort of a normal person for once. I think it's as normal as I'm going to get." If Harry wants to be normal, he should marry a nice, normal American girl. Hee hee.
On a slightly more serious note, Harry is a high-profile target. Do you think the news organizations should have kept this mum, Queen or otherwise?

I think they should have kept it quiet.
1I wonder if when McCains son goes over seas if they will keep that quiet?
I think they should have kept it quiet, not only for the princes safety but for his fellow soldiers as well. It puts them in even more danger.
2"I think they should have kept it quiet, not only for the princes safety but for his fellow soldiers as well."
Good point! I agree.
3They definately should have kept it quiet.
4They should have kept their traps shut truth be told especially for the other soldiers' sake, it wasnt necessary for us to know now and you can bet he will be pulled out ASAP.
5He looked so hot in those clips on CNN I almost fainted from the heat!
6I agree with all of you. Everyone knowing he's there puts all involved in danger. Think about it, why wouldn't the terrorists want to kill the Prince of England? Stupid move. If I were the Queen, I would bring him home RIGHT now.
7I've been noticing how much HOTTER he is than his brother these days, especially in the past couple years. Wills is just starting to look like dad now, even losing his hair.
Anyway, I hope Harry will be safe in Afghanistan.
8definitely should have kept it quiet, i mean if our own media kept it schtum then i cant see why some foreign one cant figure out why we are?! we just herd in the UK that he's fighting on the front line and I'm really proud, i think he must be a really strong man to really want to put himself in danger for his country when he could be sitting at home safe and sound. that's the best kind of Royal family or prince there is.
9I thought the Drudge report revealed him being there and the Uk was upset about foreign media (ahem) was reporting it?
10-sorry, I skimmed through the post and missed the 'Drudge" mention. It seemed to be a well kept secret until today. Should have kept it that way.
11they should have kept it quiet, not just for his safety but the rest of his troop.
12I agree it should have been kept quiet. A free press doesn't mean you have to be irresponsible.
13It looks like the Middle East just got a little more sexy.
14actually an austrailian tabloid broke the news initially and drudge picked it up. apparently the defense ministry made some sort of deal with the major news outlets to stay quiet until his deployment was up but after drudge blabbed, everyone felt it necessary to do so. i know drudge is pretty tasteless but risking the safety of a solidier is low even for him
15Jesus. Might as well strap a huge target to his chest.
16I agree, he has gotten much hotter recently....I also agree it probably would have been better to keep it quiet.
17Quiet, quiet, quiet! It's best to be sending him home ASAP, now.
18For the writer of this bit of fluff you seem to miss the big point. His nickname is the bullet magnet and these reports put his and the Ghurkas he serves with in more danger. The Taliban has little regard for life and even less if you are not a Muslim. He chose a career path that would put him in harms way and the press has endangered an entire unit of soldiers. His not showering, his scent, your horniness makes a serious item seem like a joke. Either you have never served or you do not have friends who are serving.
19They should have kept things quiet - nobody had any inkling, and everything was going swimmingly. The general response here in the UK has been one of outrage, and understandably so - it's not just about the prince, but about all the other soldiers who are over there fighting with him, who are now even more of a target. Shame.
20He been recalled due to this. The BBC reports he has shipped home and that the Drudge report was the 1st to break the agreed upon blackout and then the Aussie papers did. The Druge Report should be ashamed of themselves.
21As noted in these comments, I heard there was some foreign press who reported that Harry was in Afghanistan (an Australian magazine, I think?) and then the US Web site Drudge Report picked it up. Shame on them all for endangering not only Harry but also the men and women he serves with.
That so many other media outlets kept it a secret (out of respect for people's lives -- a much higher priority than getting hits or selling magazines) is a credit to them. I can't even remember the last time I was on the Drudge site (years ago?) but I'll certainly never visit it again!
22Yeah, for the sake of everyone over there, they should have kept quiet.
23They pulled him out asap after the news broke. Prince Harry really fought tooth and nail to get to be in battle, so it's sad for him that the media are pulling yet another rug from underneath him. I think he might have put a spotlight on Afghanistan in a positive way though, aside from the whole security issue, and maybe it will help abroad to see a royal family member talk about the mission in such terms, pressing the importance of acting upon our responsibility.
24Well said trésjolie.
25Poor Harry wants to be normal. Get a job. He had no right to be there; it is too big a risk for his unit. And I agree with indielove, never dreamed he would turn out to be more attractive than his bro.
26Hottie? I bet you wouldn't be saying that if that picture was scratch n sniff! I think it is terrible that the American media is responsible for leaking his where abouts.
