Meet the mayor of Arlington, Ore.: Carmen Kontur-Gronquist. She may have a constituency of merely 500 citizens, but do they really need to know what she looks like in her bra, underwear, and spray tan? (Do I, come to think of it?) Although the pictures (this is but one) were uploaded to her MySpace page before she became mayor — and curiously, also the fire department's executive secretary — "she saw no reason to remove them from the internet after taking office." 1You know what, bugger that BS. Seriously, you must be the most judgmental person I have ever seen. Day after day posted here are ways to tear a person down, does it make you feel good?
It is none of anyone's business what she had posted. People need to leave each other alone.
By all accounts she has been a great mayor.

I say as long as she has potential and the skills to keep Arlington relatively balanced, these pictures don't really pose any real problems for the city itself. Sure,
it's tacky, but it's her choice.

Judging by the pumper that she is dangling from, she appears to be at work...at the fire department! In one capacity or another.
4Fuzzles, It was on a firetruck apparently she was initially there with someone else who was having pictures taken and was persuaded to as well.
Regardless, it is no different than a bathing suit.

Hey, I don't have a problem with what this gal does on her own time. Quite frankly, if I had a body like hers, I might even consider doing a naked hula dance in the frozen food section of my grocery store. However, she was at work, as evidenced in the picture by the pumper (i.e. firetruck) parked in the sallyport. I have never seen any of my co-workers in their underwear, or as you say, a swimsuit AT WORK. IMHO, this shows not only a lack of professionalism, but a questionable level of common sense.
6I don't think there is anything terrible, personally. i understand that it was for a fitness fundraiser. so why shouldn't she dress like that? isn't that the accepted norms for that? she isn't really showing anything really? guys in fitness competitions show off their junk so what is wrong with this? this is something out of nothing and I think people need to lay off her.
