I don't agree with the premise of the book Porn For Women, which is that women get turned on by dudes who "help" them do housework. But I do believe in romance. What's the most romantic/and or cutest thing anyone's ever done for you?

I don't know really... nothing that sticks out in my head.
1one moment in particular that I can remember, It was the day of my great-grandmothers funeral and we were all watching them lower the coffin. I remember I was really upset and had been crying and about that moment, it had also started to rain and it got really cold. And all of a sudden my guy at the time, took off his jacket, put it around my shoulders and gave me a hug. That was one of the most touching things I have ever experienced. I think I'll always remember it.
2My husband is a saint when it comes to sweet gestures!
3-Once drove 2 hrs to (and home) an outlet to buy my favorite perfume and surprise me with it. Took the kids.
-He stayed up all night to finish a sewing project that I had volunteered for, but was unable to finish.
-Last valentines day he made a candy bouquet out of candy bars, taping each one in cellophane and then to a stick. Arranged them perfectly.
The list goes on and on. Other guys hate him! LOL!
OMG, you guys! These are so cute!!!
Don't worry, Kiwi. It will happen!
4An old college boyfriend happened to stop by my folks' house, unannounced, just as I had discovered our ailing 17-year-old Mini Schnauzer on her deathbed. Both of my parents were at work (Dad out of town) with the family cars, and I had no vehicle. He wisked the two of us to the vet, then went to my mother's work, told her of the situation, and drove her to the vet be with us as well. Sadly, our beloved dog had to be put down. Said boyfriend also helped my father dig our little angel's grave, and helped to make a beautiful headstone for her resting place. *sniffles*
5I'm still waiting! :-/
6I'm still waiting too
7Its not romantic but it is suppppeeerrrrr nice
Today has been the crappiest day. I overslept and was late to class. Was rained and hailed on (painful btw). I still hadn't finished my paper that due for my night class. My phone died. My calves hurt for some reason. After all that all I wanted was a big cup of tea. I went to the coffee/tea cart by my class and it was CLOSED because of the short burst of rain. I went back to class all depressed because I couldn't have my tea. My professor totally picked up on this (and my complaining) and went to his office, got one of his mugs and some Earl Grey and brought it back for me.
Nice right? It was the only good thing that happened to me all day
8So, I'm a guy and reading this thread out of curiosity. I want to tell you the nicest thing I ever did for my ex.
9She was having a senior prom and found this dress in a David's bridal catalog or something but she really liked it. I found out she liked it but each David's Bridal store only got one or two and they sold out quickly...
I made it my mission and called over twenty of the stores in I think fourteen states until I found one that had the dress in her size...All the female workers I encountered on the phone were so impressed and willing to help me when I told them what I was doing.
My boyfriend and i have been together 5 years in April, and we're highschool sweethearts. We've gotten to the point where we are just best friends and don't really do all the cutesy things anymore. The cutest thing he ever did was ask me to prom, which ultimately ended up with us dating and the rest is history.
So here it goes:
We were dropping everyone off after partying on the weekend, and he was the last person i would always drop off because he lives really close. He's always been shy, and i only recently found out how nervous he had been to ask. We were sitting in the car, akward silence, because i think he knew that i knew that he was going to ask me. And he finally asked, will you go to prom with me? And for some reason i was speechless, and all i could say was "SURE!" and that's something i NEVER SAY!!! haha
So, now we joke that when he proposes i'll have to say SURE!
10Mine is sweet, and funny all at once.
My husband is terrible at remembering dates. So, one year for my birthday, he thought he would trick me by having a surprise party a day before my birthday so I would never figure it out. He calls me at work and tells me to take my daughter to meet his sister and her son at Discovery Zone and hang out for awhile. So, when I get home from there, SURPRISE!!! everyone is at my house. I was pretty surprised, but he was even more surprised when I told him that it was my birthday that day and not the next!!!
It is totally the thought that counts though!!!
11When I was 17, I think, my boyfriend at the time told me we could not do anything for V day because he was going to be with his dad in Tahoe. He called me that night to wish me a happy v day and to "tell me about his day." About half an hour later, he shows up on my porch with a bouquet of roses and a boombox. We ended up slow dancing on my patio. Verry romantic.
12I'm in a long-distance relationship, and early on my boyfriend started checking job postings in my area every day. He's made it a huge commitment for us to be together in the future. In the meantime, he flies out to see me every chance he can get, even though he's low on funds. He lives on a really tight budget most of the time so that he can save up to see me every few weeks. (I travel to see him a lot too.) I've dated guys who were good at sweet gestures, but it's the big decisions my boyfriend makes everyday that strike me as the most romantic now.
13Once, I had something really bad happen to me at work, and I had a huge girl's weekend that night I couldn't get out of. I didn't want to tell my friend's about my embarrassing work drama, so I locked myself in the bathroom crying to try and hide it. My boyfriend talked to me on the phone for an hour to help me calm down. I kept telling him I had to go because I wanted to stay locked in the bathroom wallowing in misery. He knew if he let me off the phone, I'd be miserable all night and that I would feel way better if I just told my friends and let them comfort me, so he told me he wasn't getting off the phone until he heard me open the door and go back to the party. He is the sweetest, best listener, SEXIEST man alive.
14Sweetest thing a guy did for me was at my junior prom. I was going with a good friend as I did not have a boyfriend. Didn't get one until that summer but that's a different story. The DJ had been playing straight rap for about six songs and my date happened to know him. He went out to his car and came back into the prom with a CD in his jacket. The DJ played the prom theme one more time, (it was almost midnight and we were about the only people left). Then I heard rock music. It was DC Talk's song "Jesus Freak" my absolute favorite song by them! I told him this wasn't a prom song and he said so what! It's your favorite song isn't it? So I got to dance my last dance at my junior prom to my number one favorite song!
15When we were dating, my now-hubby and I were talking on the phone, when I said "I wish you could come here and just kiss me goodnight". He hung up, drove 30 minutes on a freezing January night, rang the doorbell, gave me the sweetest kiss I've ever received, said "goodnight", then drove back home. I knew then I wanted him forever!
16I dunno if this qualifies as romantic, but it touched my heart...
17I was real sick in bed, and my guy was taking care of me. Even though I was doing everything I could for the cold, I was still feeling miserable. He started asking me about my childhood, and what my parents would do to get me to sleep. I told him my dad used to read me stories or make them up, and that would get me to sleep. A little while later, I was struggling to rest, and in he comes with a smile on his face. He sat down on the bed next to me, started smoothing my hair and lo and behold, he had one of my books in his hand, ready to go. I never felt so loved before
I love reading your romantic experiences, girls
18The most romantic thing thats ever happened to me...hmmm well its not that romantic but he touched my heart with what he did that day. Well it has to be the day when i left home to continue my 2nd year at university. I had been seeing my boyfriend for 4 months now and the night before i left he was getting very upset because i lived away at uni and it would be hard for him to see me. So the morning i was due back at university, everything was hectic and i still had to pack my things up and was unable to see him. His car was still in the garage (had not yet been on the road and still needed work doing on it) so he couldnt pop by...or so i thought. He text me as soon as i was getting my luggage packed into the car, the txt said he wanted to see me even if it was for 5 minutes, unfortunately i couldnt see him due to family getting restless to go and drop me off to my halls. As i was about to get into the car i turned around and there he was parked up looking at me...the feeling that ran through me was unbelievable. I then recieved a text saying...thats enough for me jaan (meaning my life)...everytime i think about that time it brings tears to my eyes...
19I never really had a romantic experience but one thing sticks out to me that really touched me. Last year i had lost my best friend who was hit by a drunk driver. So a couple nights after the accident, I was staying at another friends house. I was a total mess, i wasn't talking to anyone, crying, and didnt want to be around anyone. However my closest guy friend (who's my friends cousin) knew i was staying at my friends house that night and decided to stay there too just so he can be with me. Even though I didnt want to be with everyone. So when everyone went to sleep, he just came outside on the balcony and sat next to me. Then i just started crying like crazy and he held me saying everything will be ok and kissed me on the top of my head.
..ehhhh not really romantic but thats the most "touching" encounter I have ever had really.
***And please don't drink and drive everyone****
20My best friend was only 18- a freshman in college.
I recently started seeing this guy and he's much older, so I'm always thinking he's on the serious side...and probably wouldn't like to do too many 'fun' things...(I'm trying to give him space and create a balance). Anyhow, he's a musician too...and recently told me about his favorite song by the Scorpions - Believe in Love. I didn't know that they sang Winds of Change also, so when I found out, I told him. That day, he made a video of himself singing Winds of Change and playing his guitar and sent it to me on Facebook! I thought that was the sweetest thing.
