Amid tales of Floridians showing up to vote on Super Tuesday — a full week late for their state's primary — and Obama's "girl" not showing up at all, there's this invisible ink voting snafu out of Chicago.
Election officials in Chicago investigated the claims of "magic" invisible ink pens to mark ballots, and concluded that it was "just utter stupidity." It's quite the Super Tuesday fiasco . . .

What's happened to our election process? lol Can we not do it right anymore? Jeez.
1YOU MUST BE KIDDING! Invisible ink? I hope they sign that person's paycheck with invisible ink. Though it did make me laugh...
250% of the Independant vote in Los Angeles county was not counted because poll workers failed to give voters proper instructions (they were supposed to punch 2 holes, not just their candidate's name).
I think the US voting system needs to be simplified. Haven't we learned from Florida?
3Seriously!
4That is not the only thing that was mishandled in Los Angeles. I lived there for over two years and just recently left for the east coast. I still work for the same company, but work from at home now.
Anyhow, I was speaking to the guy I used to share an office with who is conservative/libertarian. He is a registered Libertarian, when he showed up to the polling area he was told he could vote Libertarian or Democratic. (He knew this already, but being more conservative he decided he would rather vote Libertarian than vote Democratic.)
He said he was voting Libertarian at which point multiple people who were working/hanging around the polling place told him he was throwing his vote away and that he should vote Democratic and started carrying on about how Republicans area dieing breed and the votes shouldn't be wasted.
I suppose, all in all, our polling system needs to be refined across the board.
5Yikes.
6Shunning my eyes, while I am from Chicago.

8exactly freefromgrace!!!
9oops *freegracefrom
10That is hideous, mymellowman, and illegal. Polling workers shouldn't tell you who to vote for. Wow!
11Yeah, that was messed up. Luckily my co-worker is very strong in his beliefs and could care less, but it did make me wonder if they actually did sway anyone else and, if so, what effect he had on the primaries....
12That is beyond awful.
13I think maybe we can still sell Florida back to Spain. Maybe there's like a 300 year return policy?
14Mymellow, don't you mean "could not care less"
15Wow this makes me kind of angry, being from Chicago myself. Maybe I'm just taking it too seriously but this didn't help me to "lighten up" it kind of boiled my nerves actually
16that's my old neighborhood -- oh, sooo embarrrassed.
17raciccarone, hey now! Where would you send your old people to die if you didn't have us?
