As we've been hearing rumors of since last night, Rudy Giuliani has officially ended his campaign and endorsed John McCain. Giuliani, who polled well in the initial stages of the campaign, bet his strategy on a big win in Florida last night. Scoring only 15 percent of the vote, behind both McCain and Mitt Romney, his endorsement is nonetheless a big boon for McCain, who can add this to his mounting momentum.
Now that it's essentially a two-man race for Republicans, are you happy with your options?

It is pretty crazy how he went from super "hot" to super cold in about 2 seconds. I would never have thought he would have this turn out 6 months ago!
1I'm so glad Giuliani is out! If I had to hear 9/11 one more time...
That said, I wouldn't call it a two-man race just yet. There are two other viable candidates that deserve everybody's consideration, and you should know that CitizenSugar!
But if you're asking me if I'm happy choosing between Romney and McCain? No, of course not. They've both lied, flip-flopped, and sugar-coated throughout this whole campaign. If I had to pick one, it'd be Romney.
2Saw that coming. Thank goodness.
3It seems really weird that he's out and Huckabee is still in ... and on the democratic side Edwards has bowed out. It's all happening so early.
4yes..because only the two credible candidates are left.
5slash sad.
6my daddy and me liked him a lot!
argh!
This news just made my day so much better! Giuliani is out of race! WhooHoo! I can't stand the man and the way he treated 9/11 fireman and volunteers so him dropping out is a blessing. Pave the way for Clinton or Obama.
7No I am not happy with the mainstream options.
I'm all about Ron Paul.
8Whether he gets the nom or not, I believe he will receive my vote this year. Write in if necessary.
i'm sad to see giuliani go because i did like him and as a new yorker i liked how he handed 9/11 that being said i'm happy he is endorsing mccain b/c that is where my vote is going
MCCAIN FOR PRESIDENT 2008
9Mccain is too old. Mitt is my man now. Bye Rudy! I will miss you.
10Yay, I don't have to leave the country! I vowed to do so, should the race come down to Clinton vs Giuliani. And for a while there, it was looking like that was a real possibility!
Honestly, his camp must have made a huge mistake in how they approached this. How else can you account for his drastic slide into irrelevancy? McCain, on the other hand, who was all but written off a few months ago, has made huge strides! Politics and public opinion are amazing beasts!
I love Ron Paul, too. I doubt he'll get the nod, but despite that, he's really bringing some good thoughts and messages to the campaign. At the very least, I think he did at least some good making Giuliani look like an idiot in regards to his foreign policy positions.
11Chuckles! As if we didnt know that was going to happen.
12In the beginning of the race I thought he had it in the bag! Its interesting to see how things can turn around so quick! Who knows how this race will turn out, between the two main republican contenders, I'd go with Mitt most definitely!
